AI music is gradually "taking the throne" in Vietnam
In recent days, the social network TikTok has been buzzing with a song composed by AI with a positive melody: "80 years or 100 years of life". Many social network users, even the elderly, have posted their own funny dances to this song.
Another "internet phenomenon" is the AI-made song "Say mot doi vi em". After more than 3 months of posting, Youtube Ken Quach Official has received more than 13 million views for this song.
Not only on social media platforms, AI-generated music is becoming a phenomenon on online music streaming services.
In addition to music made entirely by AI, some famous songs are also "covered" by AI, such as Goodbye (To Thanh Tung), Behind a Girl (Soobin Hoang Son) or This Afternoon Without Rain (Chau Minh Tuan)...

In popular playlists, AI music is present in almost every genre, from relaxing Lo-fi, Pop, EDM, Rap, Phonk to humorous "remix" music.
Many listeners commented that AI-generated music has a “clean” sound, with few errors in the harmonies and a high level of overall quality. However, many opinions said that these songs often lack emotional “heaviness”, making the listening experience more technical than the vibrations often found in music composed by humans.
However, a segment of listeners, including older audiences, expressed interest in AI music. They said they were attracted by the easy-to-listen melodies, gentle rhythms and the way AI recreated old songs in a new style.
Notably, many young people consider AI as a tool to support music production, helping them experiment with styles quickly, create mixes in seconds, and expand their personal music-making capabilities. With platforms like Suno AI or Loudly, users can create a complete song with just a few lines of description.

However, copyright and creative ethics remain major challenges. Many experts warn that using copyrighted music data to train AI without permission is a copyright infringement.
Listeners don't recognize AI music
According to a new Ipsos survey of 9,000 people in eight countries on the music streaming platform Deezer, 97% of listeners cannot differentiate between AI-generated music and human-composed music. In a “blind test” listening experiment consisting of two AI songs and one human-made song, most listeners expressed surprise, and more than half felt annoyed when they could not identify the song’s origin.
Listeners also want transparency, with 80% agreeing that 100% AI-generated music should be clearly labeled, 45% want filters to exclude AI music from recommendations, and 52% think AI tracks should be separated from the general charts with human-generated music.
