On May 7 in Hanoi , the Forum on Developing New Impetus for the Nation and the Launching Ceremony of the Strategic Human Resources Alliance to Implement Resolution 57-NQ/TW took place.

This is an important event, contributing to the development of human resources to ensure the implementation of Resolution 57-NQ/TW, organized by FPT Corporation in coordination with ministries, departments and units.

Resolution 57-NQ/TW was issued by the Politburo in 2024 with a strategic vision on using science, technology, innovation and digital transformation as important breakthroughs to promote national development in the digital age.

One of the core objectives of the Resolution is to develop human resources, especially cadres, civil servants and employees capable of organizing and implementing digital transformation on a national scale.

Human resources are the core in the era of growth

At the event, Mr. Truong Gia Binh - Chairman of the Board of Directors of FPT Corporation shared a strong message from Resolution 68-NQ/TW of General Secretary To Lam: "Entrepreneurs are soldiers on the economic front." However, according to Mr. Binh, today's war is no longer a war with military weapons like in the past, but a war of knowledge, technology and especially AI human resources.

Mr. Truong Gia Binh emphasized that if in 1945, Vietnam needed universal education so that everyone could read and write, today everyone needs to know how to use technology, especially artificial intelligence, to keep up with the development of the world. Every Vietnamese student today needs to be equipped with knowledge about technology, AI skills, and the ability to work with international experts.

Mr. Truong Gia Binh continued to emphasize: “The Party has pointed out the 'strategic quartet' as the Prime Minister. We must create young generations with knowledge and skills in artificial intelligence, promoting the strength of the whole people - as we did during the resistance war. From the central to local levels, from the government to the youth - everyone needs to innovate together, commit to the development of the nation. The young generation, with technological skills and creative thinking, will be the decisive force to help Vietnam overcome challenges and join the international community."

Warning about falling behind in the global value chain, Mr. Binh said: "If we cannot train AI human resources, we will be left out of the technology game, but if we take the lead in AI training, Vietnam will rise to become a global workforce in this field."

Finally, Mr. Truong Gia Binh called out: “From Uncle Ho’s teaching to General Vo Nguyen Giap to “teach national history” to soldiers, today’s youth also need to be nurtured with patriotism, national pride and belief in the future of advanced Vietnam. Let’s work together to create and train new generations of AI human resources. When the world is worried that AI will take away jobs, Vietnam will rise up and become the center of global technology human resources.”

Vietnam needs a team of "Engineers 57"

Within the framework of the event, there will be a discussion on "Developing new momentum for the country: Human resources to implement Resolution 57-NQ/TW."

The discussion revolved around solutions and strategies to build a team of qualified human resources, ready to contribute to the national digital transformation. The speakers also affirmed that the application of science and technology, AI is not just a trend, but a revolution, especially in the field of education.

To keep up with this trend, Vietnam needs to prepare a workforce with sufficient capacity to carry out the country's important tasks in the context of strong digital transformation. Each individual and each organization needs to clearly understand their role in building the foundation for sustainable development and international integration.

Dr. Le Truong Tung - Chairman of the Board of FPT University, emphasized that in the context of rapid changes in science and technology, education needs to be deeply reformed. The strong "infiltration" of artificial intelligence into various fields will change not only the way of learning but also the goals and content of training programs. This requires educational institutions to reform to provide the young generation with the necessary skills to meet the requirements of the times.

Mr. Truong Gia Binh also shared about the need to create a source of "strategic human resources" - people who not only have solid knowledge but also have the ability to adapt to rapid changes.

Ms. Pham Thi Ngoc Thuy - Director of the Private Economic Development Research Board (Board IV), shared that the human factor is the key to effectively connecting businesses and the national economy.

Also within the framework of the discussion, the speakers agreed on the need for a new human resource portrait - which can be called "Engineer 57." Dr. Le Truong Tung said that these engineers need not only technological knowledge but also practical skills to participate in the digital transformation process. FPT University has launched a new training program, designed specifically for final and first year students to prepare for practical projects.

The challenges remain enormous, but with the determination and cooperation of businesses, educational institutions and the government, Vietnam can absolutely build a strong workforce, ready to carry out the task of nation building in the digital age.

Also within the framework of the event, academies and universities signed to establish and launch the Strategic Human Resources Alliance to implement Resolution 57-NQ/TW.
