At the festival, Director of the Hanoi Departmentof Education and Training Tran The Cuong said that in the context of the 4th industrial revolution and the strong digital transformation trend, vocational education plays an important role in training human resources with high vocational skills, meeting the growing needs of the labor market.

With a large population and a dynamic economy , linking vocational education with the labor market is not only an urgent requirement but also a long-term strategy to increase the rate of trained workers, improve labor productivity, improve competitiveness index, and develop a flexible, modern, effective, sustainable, and integrated labor market.

The festival is a major annual event of Hanoi city, organized since 2019 by the former Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs, now the Hanoi Department of Education and Training.

If the first year only had nearly 5,000 participants, this year the festival attracted about 10,000 people. Of which, about 8,000 high school seniors participated in career counseling and vocational education recruitment activities and about 2,000 students, university students and workers participated in the job fair.

Many job opportunities are introduced at the Fair.

If in 2019 and 2020, each year vocational training institutions in the area cooperated with about 300-400 businesses, now it has increased to nearly 1,000 businesses in recruiting students, ordering training and supporting equipment, materials, and funding for the institutions during the training process; supporting and participating in building and editing programs and textbooks at all training levels.

Therefore, the rate of students and trainees having jobs after graduation is always 70-80% or more. Many students have jobs before graduating.
