To celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025), many localities and units in the province have organized meaningful and practical activities.
* The Provincial Union of Literature and Arts Associations organized an exhibition of current affairs and art photos at Hung Vuong Square (Bac Lieu City). The activity lasted until May 5, introducing to the cadres and people of the province 272 works of documentary, current affairs and art photos about Bac Lieu on the day of liberation and the socio-economic achievements after 50 years of national reunification. The content of the works vividly reflected the historic victory of April 30, 1975 of Bac Lieu in using political struggle and military agitation to force the enemy to surrender, seize power without bloodshed; the boundless joy of the people on the day the South was completely liberated. Besides, there were typical images of the province's achievements in all fields in the era of development and growth with the whole country...

* On April 27, a delegation of officers from the Bac Lieu Provincial Military Command led by Colonel Do Minh Dau - Commander of the Provincial Military Command visited and presented gifts to Major General Ho Khai Hoang - Hero of the People's Armed Forces, former Commander of the Provincial Military Command and Lieutenant General Nguyen Hoang Thuy - former Commander of Military Region 9 who retired and stopped working in the province.
* On April 28, Vinh Loi District Youth Union coordinated with the District Education and Training Department and Chau Hung Town People's Committee to organize a kite flying contest with the theme "Colors in the unified sky". The contest attracted 31 teams with more than 200 contestants from grassroots Youth Unions and school teams in the district.
* On April 28, Hoa Binh District Youth Union coordinated with Vinh My A Commune Youth Union to organize the inauguration ceremony of the "National Flag Road" in Do Thoi Hamlet.
* On April 27, Nha Mat Border Guard Station (Provincial Border Guard Command) coordinated with Super Brain Minh Khoi School (Bac Lieu City) to organize a special program called "I practice being a soldier" for students.
On this occasion, officers and soldiers of Nha Mat Border Post had a talk and propaganda session about the island border, the dedication and sacrifice of soldiers who are day and night protecting the sovereignty of the sea and islands of the country. In the excited atmosphere, the students participated in the military martial arts training session, were instructed and practiced the bare-handed formation command, learned the steps to move, greet, and stand at attention in the military style. At the same time, they visited the army vegetable garden, where soldiers provide clean food for the unit.
