Vietnam - Japan Festival in Da Nang city takes place from July 4-7
Ms. Le Thi Thu Hanh, Deputy Director of the Department of Foreign Affairs of Da Nang City, Deputy Head of the Festival Organizing Committee, said that the Vietnam - Japan Festival in Da Nang City 2024 is one of the important foreign affairs events of the city. Based on the comprehensive strategic partnership between Vietnam and Japan in general, between Da Nang and Japanese localities and organizations in particular, this year's Festival promises to further deepen the friendship between the two countries and peoples, continuing the brilliant success of previous events.
"The festival will demonstrate the true spirit and purpose of helping to strengthen the cooperation relationship between Da Nang and Japan; effectively implementing promotional activities in the city in the fields of investment, trade, tourism, education, and employment; in particular, the event contributes to promoting cultural exchange and people-to-people diplomacy , helping to connect the two peoples of Vietnam and Japan," said Ms. Le Thi Thu Hanh, Deputy Director of the Department of Foreign Affairs.

Vietnam - Japan Festival with many special activities such as: Exhibition of achievements in Da Nang - Japan cooperation, displaying typical products of both sides; Da Nang - Japan Meeting Conference: Cooperation prospects after the two countries upgraded their comprehensive strategic partnership for peace and prosperity in Asia and the world ; Japan Tourism Promotion Seminar in Da Nang; Stone cotton exchange festival between Kawasaki Frontale Club and Da Nang youth; Experience Japanese baseball for locals and tourists, Vietnam - Japan wrestling performance; Friendly exchange of traditional Vietnamese - Japanese folk dances; Exchange of Japanese tea ceremony - Vietnamese tea ceremony...
It is expected that more than 100 delegates, including representatives of Japanese agencies and organizations and 40 Japanese enterprises, will attend the Danang - Japan Meeting: Prospects for promoting cooperation between Danang and Japanese partners after the two countries upgraded their relationship to Comprehensive Strategic Partnership. The program focuses on discussing topics of attracting investment and cooperation in the fields of high technology, IT, digital technology, green technology, microchips, semiconductors; promoting human resource cooperation between Danang and Japan.
At the same time, 80 agencies, organizations and businesses registered to participate in the exhibition booth displaying typical products of Vietnam and Japan.
Experience Japanese baseball for locals and visitors
Within the framework of the Festival, the Department of Foreign Affairs, the Department of Culture and Sports jointly organized a “Football Festival” and baseball exchange for children. Thereby, creating a useful playground for teenagers who are passionate about football and baseball and helping them have the opportunity to interact and practice football skills with Japanese coaches.
In particular, people and tourists can participate in activities imbued with traditional Japanese culture such as: tea ceremony, Ikebana flower arrangement, Origami paper folding, calligraphy...
The event of exchanging and combining Vietnamese and Japanese tea culture received large-scale investment.
The art of Japanese Tea Ceremony has long been a unique feature that makes up the "brand" of the Land of the Rising Sun. Each cup of tea is prepared and enjoyed as an artistic ritual, showing respect and appreciation for peaceful moments in life. Vietnamese tea ceremony is rustic, simple and promotes community cohesion. Enjoying tea is an opportunity for people to chat, share and nurture feelings. The event of exchanging and combining tea culture of the two countries will have the participation of the Consulate General of Japan in Da Nang, the Deputy Mayor of Sakai City, Japanese tea ceremony artisans and Vietnamese tea artisans.
