A group of students used helmets to beat up their classmates in Ho Chi Minh City.

On September 26, a clip was circulated on social media recording a group of young men fighting in the middle of the street. The incident occurred on the morning of September 25 on Street 36, Linh Dong Ward, Thu Duc City.

According to the clip, a group of about 5 to 7 people surrounded and beat up two young men. Among the group, some young men were wearing blue uniforms and carrying backpacks. One of the two young men was beaten and fell to the ground, holding his head.

Not stopping there, some other people continued to attack, hitting the victim on the head with a helmet, punching and kicking his body. Discovering the incident, local people rushed in to stop it, and the group of young men left on their motorbikes shortly after.

Speaking to Dan Tri reporter, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Loan, Chairman of Linh Dong Ward People's Committee, said that she had grasped the information of the incident. The group of people appearing in the clip are students of Ho Chi Minh City College of Technology.

The cause of the incident stemmed from a conflict while drinking water. Linh Dong Ward Police are coordinating with relevant units to prepare a case and handle it according to legal regulations.
