Candidate from Lao Cai won first prize in the 2025 Chinese speaking contest

(Dan Tri) - After many rounds of competition, two contestants from the Lao Cai Provincial Union of Friendship Organizations team won first prize in the 2025 National Chinese Speaking Competition.

On November 15, the final round of the National Chinese Speaking Competition - Da Nang 2025 took place in Da Nang city. The event was organized by the Da Nang Union of Friendship Organizations, the Da Nang Vietnam - China Friendship Association in coordination with the Chinese Consulate General in Da Nang and related units.

This is an important people-to-people diplomacy activity, commemorating the 75th anniversary of the establishment of Vietnam-China diplomatic relations (January 18, 1950 - January 18, 2025) and the Vietnam-China Humanitarian Exchange Year.

The contest aims to enhance understanding, friendship and cooperation between the people of the two countries, especially the young generation. At the same time, this is also an opportunity for Vietnamese youth to learn and look back on the 75-year journey of Vietnam-China diplomatic relations.

The final round of the 2025 Da Nang National Chinese Speech Contest is considered a highly prestigious competition in Vietnam, receiving attention and positive reviews from China in the context of the strong development of relations between the two countries.

Held annually since 2015, the contest has expanded from the Central Highlands region to the whole country.

The main purpose is to create a useful playground for students and young people across the country to exchange and share experiences and passion for studying and researching Chinese culture and language, contributing to strengthening and deepening the Vietnam - China Comprehensive Strategic Cooperative Partnership.

With the theme "Enhancing cultural exchange to strengthen Vietnam - China friendship", this year's contest attracted nearly 1,000 contestants from all over the provinces and cities.

In the final result, 2 contestants from the Lao Cai Province Union of Friendship Organizations won the first prize. Three second prizes went to contestants from the Diplomatic Academy, Da Nang University of Dong A and University of Foreign Languages ​​- Hue University.

Five third prizes were awarded to contestants from the University of Foreign Languages ​​- Danang University, Duy Tan University, Thu Dau Mot University, Hanoi University of Industry and Ho Chi Minh City University of Foreign Languages ​​and Information Technology.

In addition, the Organizing Committee also awarded 16 Consolation prizes and 1 secondary prize to recognize the efforts, creativity and learning spirit of the contestants.
