The National Chinese Speaking Contest - Da Nang is an annual event, organized on an increasingly large scale, attracting the attention of many Chinese language lovers across the country.
This year, the contest is one of the city's important people-to-people diplomacy events to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the establishment of Vietnam-China diplomatic relations (January 18, 1950 - January 18, 2025) and the year of Vietnam-China humanities exchange; contributing to deepening the Vietnam-China comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership.
The contest attracted nearly 1,000 candidates from units and localities across the country. After the preliminary selection process, the organizing committee selected the 25 best candidates from colleges, universities, academies, and Chinese language centers from 15 provinces and centrally-run cities to participate in the final round.
In the final round, each contestant will present their speech on the topic "Enhancing humanistic exchanges to strengthen Vietnam - China friendship" and answer questions from the judges related to the contest theme and the content of the contestant's speech.
As a result, the organizing committee awarded the first prize to the Lao Cai Provincial Union of Friendship Organizations team; 3 second prizes, 5 third prizes and 16 consolation prizes to the teams.
