There are 6 State-level topics, 8 Ministry of National Defense- level topics, 179 grassroots-level research topics and initiatives, inventions, and technical improvements implemented and widely applied throughout the Navy in the emulation movement for victory in the 2019-2024 period, showing that the movement has promoted the internal strength and creativity of collectives and individuals, making important contributions to the task of protecting the sovereignty of the sea and islands of the entire force.

“My biggest wish is to continue to contribute by researching and discovering existing problems in the unit so that I can come up with ideas to implement and create teaching aid models to help soldiers reduce hardship, save money for the unit, and improve the unit's combat readiness.”

That is the sharing of Captain Nguyen Xuan Vu, Head of the Technical Support Center of Naval Region 3. Introducing his initiative "Device for disassembling and assembling AK submachine gun bullets", Vu said: Training in infantry combat techniques (shooting AK guns) is a part of the annual combat training program of the unit and the Region. Due to the large and scattered number of troops, the organization of shooting practice needs to be carried out quickly and closely coordinated between units and shooting support departments. On the other hand, due to the large number of troops participating in the shooting, it is difficult to ensure the shooting of the weapon staff. Faced with this reality, the initiative "Device for disassembling and assembling AK submachine gun bullets" was researched and put into practice by Vu. The initiative has increased efficiency, shortened the time in the process of checking live ammunition firing at the unit, creating peace of mind for soldiers when operating, contributing to increasing the combat readiness and combat readiness of the unit.

He is the captain of Ship 851, Squadron 314, Brigade 161, Naval Region 3 with many tasks such as being on duty, protecting sovereignty, searching and rescuing, and protecting maritime economic activities. The ship is equipped with many new and modern equipment and weapons. Through practical work, Captain Luong Hoan Ban always wondered how officers and soldiers could exploit and use weapons proficiently, especially UDM mines and the PLUTO PLUS Robot system - a completely new underwater device on ships. Luong Hoan Ban had the initiative to research and design the "UDM mine cutting model" and the "PLUTO PLUS Robot system model and instructions for operating the system".

Captain Luong Hoan Ban said: "When the models are applied on the ship, officers and soldiers quickly grasp, master, and confidently operate new technical weapons and equipment (VKTBKT) and special equipment, helping to improve the quality of training and combat at the unit. Working at a surface ship unit with a large number of ships, diverse in types, often operating for long periods at sea, in harsh weather conditions, requires officers and soldiers to be in good health, and when sick or ill, they must receive timely medical care, ensuring the ability to complete assigned tasks. Professional military major Trinh Van Hoi, physician, Logistics Department, Brigade 955, Naval Region 4 has always made efforts in the context of limited working conditions, difficult facilities, and a large workload, but with a sense of responsibility and enthusiasm for the profession, physician Trinh Van Hoi and the Military Medicine Department of Brigade 955 always unite, overcome difficulties, complete assigned tasks well, ensuring the best medical care for officers and soldiers, especially those who regularly perform long-term missions at sea. Doctor Trinh Van Hoi shared: “In the position of a military medic, I always remember Uncle Ho's teaching "A good doctor is like a mother". During the performance of his duties, he always improves his medical ethics, builds solidarity within the agency and unit, improves the quality of his work; ensures sufficient and timely military medical supplies for the force performing tasks at sea, thereby contributing to the common task of the unit, protecting the sacred sovereignty of the sea and islands of the Fatherland”. Major Nguyen Van Dinh, Political Department of Naval Region 5, was formerly an electrical engineer on a ship but was assigned by his superiors to perform the duties and tasks of a film projectionist and to promote the activities of the Region within the permitted scope on the mass media. This is a highly specialized job, requiring in-depth professional knowledge, scientific, creative, careful and meticulous working mindset.

Major Nguyen Van Dinh expressed: "I have to learn while working, so during the process of carrying out propaganda tasks, especially when working in difficult and complicated conditions such as heavy rain, strong winds or going on trips with ships to rescue fishermen, I myself do not mind the hardship, always taking the lead with the highest determination. Many times when I have time off at home, regardless of day or night, rain or shine, calm sea or storm, when there is an order, I immediately go to work, quickly go to the scene to record and exploit related information to make documents and serve propaganda work on mass media". Ship 015-Tran Hung Dao is a Gepard 3.9 class missile frigate, Brigade 162, Naval Region 4, the most modern class of surface combat ships of the Vietnam People's Navy today. Over the years, Ship 015 has continuously grown in all aspects, always completing well and excellently all tasks. Especially, in the period of 2019 - 2024, it is a bright spot of the Navy in performing the task of Defense Foreign Affairs.

Lieutenant Colonel Vu Khanh Hai, Captain of Ship 015, said: The process of carrying out the ship's foreign defense mission has its own specific difficulties, which are new missions; long distances of thousands of nautical miles, the ship continuously travels for many days at sea, passes through many international waters, weather conditions, hydrometeorology, unfamiliar operating environment, maritime security situation in some sea areas is still complicated; logistics and technical assurance work faces many difficulties; differences in language, culture, customs and practices between us and other countries... That places high demands on officers and soldiers participating in foreign affairs missions. Faced with that reality, the Party Committee and command of Ship 015 have proposed many synchronous measures, in which foreign languages ​​are identified as the "key" to contribute significantly to improving the quality of foreign defense relations, the ship has focused on promoting the foreign language learning movement in the unit. Promoting the role of the team of officers and soldiers who have studied and worked abroad to improve the foreign language skills of the troops. With drastic and effective measures, Ship 015 has successfully completed 9 defense diplomacy trips both domestically and abroad, directly to 6 countries, including: Russia, China, Japan, Korea, Philippines and Singapore. Of which, the visit to 3 countries Japan, Korea and China with a distance of more than 7,000 nautical miles is the longest defense diplomacy trip; 56 days and nights in Vladivostok city - Russia is the longest defense diplomacy trip of the Vietnam People's Navy ever. Many trips have left good impressions of the emotions and capabilities of the officers and soldiers on board, leaving good images of the friendly, peace- loving Vietnamese people; demonstrates the prestige, stature, strength, discipline, and elite of the Vietnam People's Army and Navy and the noble qualities of "Uncle Ho's soldiers - Navy soldiers" to international friends.
