On the occasion of April 30, Huong Son district (Ha Tinh) aims to welcome 30,000 tourists . Businesses and relic management boards have completed preparations to help visitors have interesting experiences.

As one of the two main destinations of Huong Son tourism, Son Kim hot mineral water resort (team 9, Son Kim 1 commune) is expected to welcome a large number of visitors on the occasion of April 30 this year.

At the beginning of 2023, Son Kim Mineral Water and Tourism Joint Stock Company invested nearly 200 million VND to repair and upgrade the system of 20 rooms to meet 2-star standards; repair and renovate 30 indoor and outdoor mineral water baths to serve about 150 people; and renovate the landscape at the tourist area...

Mr. Dang Quang Duc - Director of Son Kim Mineral Water and Tourism Joint Stock Company said: "Before 2019, on the occasion of April 30 - May 1, the number of visitors to the tourist area fluctuated from 450 - 550 people, the company's revenue reached from 80 - 120 million VND. After 2 difficult years due to the impact of the COVID-19 epidemic, this year, the holiday period lasts for 5 days (April 29 - May 3), so the company is hoping to welcome a large number of visitors, expected to be nearly 1,000 people, with estimated revenue of over 200 million VND".

Son Kim tourist area is renovating the landscape and signs to prepare to welcome guests on the occasion of April 30.

Up to this point, the company has received a number of orders from travel agencies in and outside the province with a number of nearly 200 people. Although the final number has not been "finalized", in 2 days (April 30 and May 1), 20 rooms have been fully booked by customers. The company has also prepared enough food and necessities to serve the needs of tourists. Especially the typical products of Huong Son district such as: deer antlers and local OCOP products.

Meanwhile, at Hai Thuong Lan Ong Eco-tourism Area (managed by Quy Gia Trading and Service Company Limited - Ha Tinh Branch), up to this point, activities after the New Year festival and a series of festivals commemorating the 232nd anniversary of Hai Thuong Lan Ong's death have been maintained.

In early April, the number of tourists has been increasing, especially on weekends. It is known that Quy Gia Trading and Service Company Limited has also "generously" invested more than 3 billion VND to build an additional 500-seat restaurant in Truong Mung (Son Trung commune); renovate the 300m long flower street in the eco-tourism area; renovate 8 outdoor swimming pools, 136 mud baths to attract tourists. At the same time, coordinate with a number of travel companies in Vinh City ( Nghe An ) to "attract" international tourists on the Vietnam - Laos - Thailand tour.

Tuong Son Pagoda (village 1 - Son Giang commune) is one of the spiritual destinations that attracts tourists and locals.

According to Mr. Tran Dinh Song - CEO of Quy Gia Trading and Service Company Limited, this year, the company recruited 20 more employees for tourism, bringing the total number to 70. The new recruits are chefs who can prepare unique dishes from deer, goats, and wild boars (raised) marinated and mixed with traditional Chinese medicine, bringing new culinary flavors to tourists.

At the same time, the company has deployed sufficient staff to take care of security, order, and fire prevention. Currently, 80 rooms have been booked by customers. The company is expected to welcome more than 10,000 visitors from all over the world, an increase of about 20% compared to 2019 (before the COVID-19 pandemic).

The Banh Chung cooking contest during the Le Huu Trac Festival (February 2023) attracts many tourists to Huong Son.

During this year's holiday, in addition to the resorts, visitors to the fragrant mountain region can also come to offer incense and learn more about the life of the great physician Hai Thuong Lan Ong Le Huu Trac (who is being proposed by UNESCO to be honored as a world cultural celebrity) at the Hai Thuong Lan Ong complex (grave and church area) in Son Trung and Son Giang communes.

According to Mr. Tran Anh Nam - Head of the Culture Department of Huong Son district, in order to create an atmosphere for the upcoming holiday, Huong Son District Youth Union coordinated with K9 Sports and Cultural Area (Pho Chau town) to organize a youth volleyball tournament with the participation of 100 athletes; organize folk dance competitions, volleyball tournaments, and commune-level sports activities...

It is forecasted that this year the number of visitors to Huong Son will be higher than previous years. Therefore, in addition to strengthening propaganda and promoting the image of destinations and tourism potential of Huong Son, the district also requires tourism businesses and localities to organize festivals, sports and cultural activities to attract tourists.

For places with beautiful landscapes such as Xai Pho and Rao An waterfalls, which have not been exploited or managed by any investors, prohibition signs and warning signs of drowning risks and dangerous areas are posted to prevent unfortunate consequences.
