The more science and technology develop, the more the labor market fluctuates. Many experts and organizations make predictions about the jobs that will disappear due to being replaced by artificial intelligence (AI) in the future.

Accountant

The work of an accountant is to record books, process data, financial documents, payroll... which often includes some simple processes based on user input. That is why many research papers say that accounting jobs are easily replaced by AI.

Content Moderator

Jobs related to censoring content, photos, videos when posted on social networks such as Facebook, Twitter... will be replaced by AI when most of that content has been pre-screened by AI algorithms.

Especially when AI's accuracy increases, this job will no longer need humans to do it.

Enter data

Companies use AI-powered systems to fetch, process, input, format, and communicate data based on user requests. Data entry workers are facing redundancy worldwide due to advanced web scraping technologies and python-based data processing scripts.

Bank teller

A bank teller's job includes verifying customers' identities and financial information before processing transactions, checking cash, collecting loan payments...

However, many studies show that the role of bank tellers is 100% likely to disappear in the future thanks to AI. Some banks have started using automated teller machines long before ChatGPT.

Receptionist

Le Tan often takes on tasks such as: scheduling meetings, preparing documents, looking up documents, applying basic excel formulas to get data, booking flights and hotels, calling/texting when there are important questions and following up.

Many of the above tasks can be easily performed by AI. In fact, many companies have already started using ChatGPT to schedule meetings, take notes, book appointments, etc.

Translation

Several online demos have shown that ChatGPT does a much better job of translating than Google Translate. As companies race to improve their language models and train their systems in foreign languages, the need for junior translators will decrease.

Basic level graphic design

Tools like DALL.E and MidJourney have put many graphic designers out of work as businesses can simply feed inputs to these AI tools for them to create basic graphics and logos.

Computer Programmer

AI tools like ChatGPT are expected to replace many programming tasks in the near future, so programmers with very specific skills will be able to keep their positions.

However, skilled programmers will have to adopt AI into their roles to improve productivity and support sustainability in the job market.

Postal clerk

Millions of people receive their packages on time every day thanks to postal service employees.

They are the ones who make sure packages are entered into the system with the correct stamps and addresses, in addition to receiving money orders, helping customers fill out forms... But some research papers by researchers at Princeton and the University of Pennsylvania believe that the role of postal workers could be automated in the future.
