To get a high score in the entrance exam to grade 10 in a big city like Hanoi is not easy and requires candidates to try very hard.
Below are some high schools in Hanoi that have an average score of three subjects above 8 points. Candidates and parents can refer to them.
Area 1: Ba Dinh District, Tay Ho

In general, the benchmark score in region 12 is quite low compared to the remaining regions. There are 5/9 schools with an average transfer score of each subject below 5 points.
This school year, Hanoi has about 127,000 junior high school graduates, down nearly 6,000 compared to last year. The total target for public schools is 79,000. Thus, the passing rate is over 62%, a slight increase compared to 60 - 61% in previous years.
Comparing the number of junior high school graduates to the total number of passing targets this year, the average competition ratio for public grade 10 is 1.62, equivalent to previous years (in 2024 the average was 1 to 6.6, in 2022 it was 1 to 6.8 and in 2022 it was 1 to 6.67).
On the morning of June 7, candidates will take the Literature exam, and in the afternoon of the same day, they will take the foreign language exam. Candidates will choose one of the following languages: English, French, German, Japanese, Korean, and can register to take the foreign language exam other than the language they are studying at secondary school. On the morning of June 8, candidates will take the Math exam.
