Joy at new schools in the highlands

Standing out among the surrounding mountains, Lung Khoai B village school, belonging to Ban Mai Kindergarten, Suoi To commune, Phu Yen district, has just been built with bright colors. The school was inaugurated and put into use at the beginning of the new school year 2023-2024, making the dreams of teachers and students here come true.

Suoi To is a commune in region 3 of Phu Yen district, mainly inhabited by Mong ethnic people. With the attention of the Party and the State, in addition to the general infrastructure system, the facilities of schools and classrooms in the commune are also interested in and invested in construction.

Teacher Doanh Thi Loan, Principal of Ban Mai Kindergarten, shared: Ban Mai Kindergarten, Suoi To commune has 11 schools, with 18 classes, more than 300 students. Of which, Lung Khoai B kindergarten has been degraded and unsafe after many years of use, especially during storms. This year, the school received help from benefactors to build a new school, creating a goodeducational environment with 2 sessions/day, so that people can feel secure sending their children to school.

Grasping information about the difficulties of Lung Khoai B school, the volunteer group "For students in remote areas" in Hanoi has connected and mobilized organizations and individuals to support the construction of a new school. Mr. Vu Hoai Nam, lecturer at the University of Construction, Head of the volunteer group, said: After surveying and witnessing the school's degraded and unsafe facilities, we connected with benefactors and donors to support the construction of the school with a total value of more than 725 million VND.

The project started construction in June 2023 and was completed and put into use in time for the new school year 2023-2024. On the spacious campus, 2 classrooms were built with a total construction area of 170m2, each classroom is fully equipped with lighting systems, fans, televisions. Along with a common living area, kitchen, playground and other auxiliary works, kitchen, refrigerator, washing machine, surrounding walls...

In the new classroom, teachers and students of Lung Khoai B school are happier. Teacher Luong Thi Tuyet Mai, a teacher at the school, excitedly said: The school welcomes 46 students, 100% of whom are children of the Mong ethnic group. Studying at the new school, students are excited and interested. They attend school more diligently and actively.

Ms. Vang Thi Mo, a parent with children here, excitedly said: With a new, spacious and beautiful school, all of us parents are excited and feel secure in sending our children to school. The children love going to school more, there are many toys and books in the classroom.

The Lung Khoai B Kindergarten project was completed and put into use thanks to the contributions of benefactors.
