'Breaking' has connections to quickly get red book, defrauding and appropriating money

On the afternoon of May 29, Thang Binh District Police (Quang Nam) announced that they had just issued a 3-month temporary detention order for suspect Nguyen Thi Trang (34 years old, in Binh Trieu Commune, Thang Binh District) to investigate the crime of fraud and property appropriation.

According to the investigation results, although Trang did not do any work related to receiving and processing applications for land use right certificates (red books), she "bragged" that she had a close relationship with the staff of the Thang Binh District Land Registration Office Branch. She only needed to authorize and give Trang money so that she could contact to quickly issue red books for the people.

Trusting Trang, in October and November 2022, two people in Binh Trieu commune repeatedly gave Trang nearly 100 million VND to help her quickly get a red book. However, after receiving the money, Trang could not get the red book as promised and instead spent the money on personal expenses.
