To commemorate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day on September 2nd, the 80th anniversary of the People's Public Security Force's Traditional Day, and the 20th anniversary of the National Day for Protecting National Security, the Editorial Board of the Communist Magazine, in coordination with the Ministry of Public Security , the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, and the Hanoi City Party Committee, organized the political and artistic program " Independence Star" with the theme "For a Prosperous Vietnam ".

The program will be broadcast live on VTV1 at 8:10 PM on August 24th from the Ho Guom Theater, and simultaneously rebroadcast on ANTV, Hanoi Television and Radio Station, and various social media platforms.

Established in 2016, the Independence Star Awards have become an annual political and artistic event, aiming to honor the cultural and historical values ​​of the nation; to pay tribute to generations who have sacrificed and contributed to the independence and freedom of the Fatherland; and to affirm the great achievements of the past 80 years, especially nearly 40 years of the Doi Moi (Renovation) period.

This year's program consists of 3 chapters and 15 elaborately staged performances, combining music , dance, commentary, and modern performance technology.

Chapter 1 - Under the majestic banner with the flying golden star - portrays the aspiration for independence and freedom, recreating historical milestones from the August Revolution, Dien Bien Phu 1954, the Great Victory of Spring 1975 to the cause of national defense.

Chapter 2 - The Journey of Building Peace - recreates the efforts of the Renovation and nation-building process, and pays tribute to the silent sacrifices made in peacetime.

Chapter 3 - The Aspiration for a Prosperous Vietnam - conveys the belief and determination to lead the country into an era of development, aiming towards the goals of 2030 and 2045.

With its blend of political commentary and outstanding artistic performances, the 2025 Independence Star program offers viewers moments of heroism and reflection, igniting national pride, a desire to contribute, and a collective effort to build a strong, prosperous, and happy Vietnam.
