Exactly 6 years ago, People's Artist Pham Phuong Thao decided to leave the urban life to the suburbs of Hanoi to live in the middle of nature, on a high hill of about 8,000 m², about 30-35 km from the city center.

From a luxury apartment in Hoang Dao Thuy, she chose a life with plenty of trees, fruits, miniature landscapes, shrines... Although many people find it hard to believe, Pham Phuong Thao describes her life as "very comfortable and pleasant" since retiring.

"I want to experience life in the most ordinary, familiar way. I choose to make friends with ordinary people, hoping to live a simple, sincere life. In the 7th year, I feel very lucky. I am still the owner of this garden, still living most of my time here, leisurely letting go of the temptations of money and fame. Only one thing has changed - that is the concept of people", People's Artist Pham Phuong Thao confided.

Life is long, short. I just want to live long enough for myself, for those who love me, and enjoy all the beauty of this private world. Perhaps that is my mission."
