Six years ago, People's Artist and singer Pham Phuong Thao decided to leave the hustle and bustle of city life and move to the outskirts of Hanoi to live amidst nature, on a hilltop spanning approximately 8,000 square meters, about 30-35 kilometers from the city center.

From a luxurious apartment on Hoang Dao Thuy Street, she chose a life surrounded by greenery, flowers, miniature landscapes, and shrines... Although many find it hard to believe, Pham Phuong Thao describes her life as "very comfortable and pleasant" since moving to the garden.

Every day, People's Artist Phuong Thao not only diligently tills the soil and plants vegetables and fruit trees, but also comes up with songwriting ideas while "carrying stones and tilling the soil." She lives in harmony with nature, which broadens her spirit and makes her voice more expressive.

"For the past six years, I haven't been interested in the spotlight or music . I'm only interested in wandering around in my own garden, planting a few rows of vegetables, growing longan, lychee, mango, sapodilla, loquat, star fruit, guava, chayote, and rose apple trees… then admiring them, inhaling their fragrance, and savoring them in simple joy," People's Artist Pham Phuong Thao shared.

The artist is happy that he is no longer interested in the spotlight.

The artist said she has distanced herself from the stage – a place where she has to put on makeup, perform, and meet talented and successful people to learn from – but she still feels bored.

"I want to experience life in the most ordinary, down-to-earth way. I choose to befriend simple people, hoping to live a truly simple and sincere life. In my seventh year, I feel very fortunate. I'm still the owner of this garden, still live most of my time here, leisurely letting go of the temptations of money and fame. Only one thing has changed - and that's my perception of people," People's Artist Pham Phuong Thao confided.

People's Artist Pham Phuong Thao enjoys a happy life with her pets and picking flowers and fruits in her garden.

The artist shared: "Luckily, the sky is still blue, the clouds are still white, and they still embrace me gently. Handsome men still wander around in the lovely little garden, and of course - true love, whenever I need it, can still appear to chat with me."

Life can be long or short. I only hope to live enough for myself, for those I love, and to fully enjoy the beauty of this private world. Perhaps that is my mission."
