Vietnamese table tennis team wins silver medal.
Dinh Anh Hoang lost 7-11 in the fourth set, thus losing the match 1-3 to Yew En Koen Pang. The Vietnamese men's table tennis team suffered a disappointing 2-3 defeat and received the silver medal. Nevertheless, this is a commendable achievement, as it is the first time in eight years that we have reached the final of the men's team event.

The fifth singles match in the men's team final was still dramatic, with Anh Hoang losing 9-11 to Yew En Koen Pang in the third set. He was trailing 2-1 and had to win the fourth set to keep his hopes of a comeback alive.

Anh Tú lost 10-12 in the third set, thus losing 1-3 to Quek Yong Izaac. Singapore leveled the score at 2-2, meaning the men's team final had to be played in a fourth singles match. Đinh Anh Hoàng faced Yew En Koen Pang, who had lost to Anh Tú in the first match.

In the fourth singles match, after losing 9-11, 6-11 to Quek Yong Izaac, Anh Tú rekindled his hopes by winning 11-8 in the third set.

Nguyen Duc Tuan came from behind to beat Josh Chua Shao Han 3-1 (8-11, 11-6, 11-9 and 11-8), giving the Vietnamese table tennis team a 3-1 lead over Singapore. If Anh Tu had defeated Quek Yong Izaac – who had beaten Dinh Anh Hoang – in the fourth singles match, we would have won the gold medal.

In the third singles match, Nguyen Duc Tuan was trailing 1-0 (11-8) in the first set. He gained the advantage in the second set, leading 9-5 with a shot that completely surprised Josh Chua Shao Han. From that point, the Singaporean representative fell to the court, clutching his leg in pain.
The men's team final was therefore interrupted so that medical staff could attend to Shao Han, who had been injured. And after nearly 10 minutes of interruption, Shao Han decided to continue competing instead of giving up.

The Vietnamese table tennis team is preparing to enter the men's team final against Singapore, in a best-of-five format. This is the first time in eight years that we have reached the men's team final.
Just before that, in the women's team final, host nation Thailand secured a thrilling 3-2 victory over Singapore to claim the gold medal.
Athletics wins two more bronze medals.
Nguyen Thanh Ngung finished third and won a bronze medal in the 20km race walk. Bui Thi Thu Ha also won a bronze medal in the women's marathon, with a time of 2 hours 54 minutes and 49 seconds.
Pham Thanh Bao wins gold medal in 200m breaststroke.

In the men's marathon, Hoang Nguyen Thanh did not finish among the medal winners. He only finished 4th, long after the top 3 had completed the race.
Swimmer wins silver medal in 4x100m relay.
In the men's 4x100m freestyle relay final, the four Vietnamese swimmers, Tran Hung Nguyen, Jeremie Loic Nino Luong, Nguyen Viet Tuong, and Tran Van Nguyen Quoc, finished second with a time of 3 minutes 20 seconds 01, earning a commendable silver medal. The Singaporean team successfully defended their gold medal and also broke their own SEA Games record. Malaysia took home the bronze medal.
Athletics
In the 20km race walk, Nguyen Thanh Phuc withdrew after more than half the distance. She was dizzy and needed medical attention. Therefore, only Thai Thi Kim Ngan remains to compete in the women's 20km race walk.
Swimming won a commendable bronze medal.
The Vietnamese women's 4x200m freestyle relay team, consisting of four swimmers Nguyen Kha Nhi, Vo Thi My Tien, Pham Thi Van, and Nguyen Thuy Hien, competed with great effort. In particular, the 2009-born prodigy Thuy Hien made a spectacular sprint to overtake the Singaporean swimmer, finishing third and winning the bronze medal. The gold medal went to the Thai team, while the Philippines team secured the silver.
Pham Thanh Bao successfully defended his gold medal in the 200m breaststroke.
Swimmer Pham Thanh Bao brilliantly finished first and successfully defended his gold medal in the men's 200m breaststroke final with a time of 2 minutes 12 seconds 81. The silver and bronze medals both went to athletes from Singapore.
Two days ago, Vietnam's swimmer nicknamed "The Frog Prince" also successfully defended his gold medal in his signature 100m breaststroke event.
Weightlifting won a bronze medal.
Weightlifter Nguyen Duc Toan achieved a total lift of 305kg, thereby winning the bronze medal in the men's 71kg category. With a total lift of 347kg, the Thai athlete won the gold medal, simultaneously breaking the world record he himself had previously set. The representative from the Philippines won the silver medal.
Volleyball
The Vietnamese men's volleyball team won 3-0 against Singapore. This was their second consecutive victory, maintaining their top position in the group.
Swim
Nguyen Thuy Hien finished in 6th place with a time of 25.70 seconds in the women's 50m freestyle final. Meanwhile, in the men's 50m butterfly final, Jeremie Loic Nino Luong also failed to win a medal, finishing in 5th place with a time of 24.16 seconds.
Vietnamese women's football team reaches the final.
The Vietnamese women's football team secured a dominant 5-0 victory over Indonesia to claim the first ticket to the final. Coach Mai Duc Chung's team will face the winner of the match between host nation Thailand and the Philippines. Click the link below for details.
Bowling wins gold medal for Vietnam.
Outstandingly defeating his Thai opponent, Trần Hoàng Khôi, born in 2009, won the gold medal for Vietnamese bowling at the 33rd SEA Games. This is the first gold medal for Vietnamese bowling at the SEA Games.
Golf won 1 silver medal and 1 bronze medal.
Golfer Nguyen Anh Minh excellently won the silver medal in the men's individual event, while Le Chuc An won the bronze medal in the women's individual event.
Bicycle
Vietnamese cyclist Nguyen Thi That finished third in the road cycling event, winning the bronze medal. Juthatip Maneephan of host country Thailand won the gold medal, and Mohamad Zubir of Malaysia won the silver medal.
Weightlifting won a bronze medal.
Weightlifter Quàng Thị Tâm finished third in the 58 kg final with a total lift of 215 kg, securing a bronze medal. The gold medal went to the host country Thailand, while the Indonesian representative won the silver.

The Vietnamese table tennis team brilliantly defeated Malaysia to advance to the men's team final. Vietnam avenged their consecutive losses in the two previous SEA Games. Their opponent in the gold medal match will be Singapore, who defeated Thailand in the semi-final.
Vietnamese Karate team defeats Thailand, wins gold medal.
In the women's team kumite final, the Vietnamese karate team, consisting of Nguyen Thi Dieu Ly, Hoang Thi My Tam, Nguyen Thi Thu, and Dinh Thi Huong, brilliantly defeated Thailand with a score of 2-0, thereby winning the gold medal.
Earlier, the Vietnamese men's team lost to their Malaysian opponents in the semi-finals.
Weightlifting
Weightlifter Nguyen Minh Tri failed in all three attempts in the 65kg clean and jerk event. Therefore, the Vietnamese representative no longer has a chance to compete for a medal. Previously, the Vietnamese athlete, along with the Indonesian representative Eko Yuri Irawan, led in the snatch event with a weight of 138kg.

The Vietnamese women's volleyball team easily defeated the Philippines in three sets with scores of 25-17, 25-14, and 25-17 to secure the first ticket to the women's volleyball final. Vietnamese shooters achieve a double victory.
Shooter Trinh Thu Vinh surpassed her teammate Nguyen Thuy Trang with a total score of 242.7 to win the precious gold medal, simultaneously breaking the SEA Games record. With 141.7 points, Thuy Trang secured the silver medal.

In the women's 10m air pistol individual final, Vietnam is guaranteed one gold and one silver medal as Trinh Thu Vinh and Nguyen Thuy Trang are the last two shooters remaining, entering the decisive shootout for the gold medal. This would be a double victory for Vietnamese shooting.

Vietnamese shooters win gold medal, break SEA Games record.
The trio of shooters Trinh Thu Vinh, Nguyen Thuy Trang, and Trieu Thi Hoa Hong brilliantly won the gold medal in the women's 10m air pistol team event with a score of 1,711 points. Not only that, the Vietnamese girls also broke the SEA Games record. In addition, Thuy Trang and Thu Vinh excellently led the qualifying round and advanced to the final round (8 athletes) which will take place at 11:45 AM today.
The silver medal went to host nation Thailand, while Malaysia won the bronze.
Sepak Takraw misses out on gold medal.
After losing 0-2 in the first regu, the Vietnamese sepak takraw team continued to lose 0-2 in the second regu against host Thailand in the women's team final. This was also the first medal for the sepak takraw team and the first medal of the day for the Vietnamese delegation.

Golden hope Duong Thuy Vy has just completed her performance in the qualifying round of the sword fighting event with a fairly high score of 9.670. Thuy Vy ranked 3rd after two athletes from Indonesia and Singapore. Meanwhile, Nguyen Thi Hien only managed to get 9.046 points.

In the first match of the women's team event, Vietnam suffered a heartbreaking defeat after two sets with the same score of 13-15. Notably, in the second set, we at one point led the host country Thailand by 3 points but unfortunately lost.
The Vietnamese team will have to put in a strong effort in their second match to keep their hopes alive of winning the gold medal in this event.

Swimmer Jeremie Loic Nino Luong has qualified for the final of the men's 50m butterfly event.
Vietnamese sepak takraw team competes for gold medal against Thailand.
The Vietnamese sepak takraw team is competing in the final, vying for the gold medal against host Thailand in the women's team event. As expected, the two fierce rivals created an exciting match right from the first set. Unfortunately, the Vietnamese girls lost 13-15 in the first set.

Swimmer Nguyen Thuy Hien advanced to the final of the women's 50m freestyle event, with the Vietnamese representative finishing 7th out of 8 athletes in the qualifying round.
