People's Artist Quoc Hung and Tan Minh judge the contest "Hanoi's Best Voice 2024"

(Dan Tri Newspaper) - Famous artists such as People's Artist Quoc Hung, People's Artist Ha Thuy, People's Artist Tan Minh... will be on the judging panel for the " Hanoi's Best Voice 2024" competition.

On the afternoon of November 11th, the Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports held a press conference to announce the details of the Hanoi Singing Contest 2024.

This is a cultural and artistic event organized to practically celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Liberation of Hanoi (October 10, 1954 - October 10, 2024) and the 1014th anniversary of Thang Long - Hanoi.

At the event, Mr. Do Dinh Hong from the Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports stated that this year's competition is not only an artistic playground but also an opportunity for contestants and Hanoi residents to recall glorious historical chapters and rekindle love and pride for their homeland in the hearts of each person.

Mr. Hong affirmed that the competition has long become a prestigious cultural and artistic event, leaving a deep impression on the hearts of music lovers in the capital city.

Generations of contestants, in addition to showcasing their talent, also bring with them love and pride for the culture and people of Hanoi, contributing to the diversity and depth of modern music.

"The art council will be fair and objective in discovering talents and encouraging young voices so that this competition can spread the beauty of Hanoi and inspire love for the capital city."

"Hopefully, from this competition, the students will shine and flourish on music stages nationwide and internationally, contributing new names to the cultural and artistic scene of our country," Mr. Do Dinh Hong expressed.

This year's competition attracted more than 450 contestants aged 16 to 35 who live, work, or study in Hanoi, as well as some contestants who had won high prizes in vocal competitions in several provinces and centrally-governed cities.

The organizers will select the 60 best contestants to continue competing in the semi-finals, where they will be supported by a professional orchestra.

The final round will be a night of brilliance for 12 outstanding vocalists, where they will perform before the judging panel and audience with songs themed around Hanoi and one song of their own choosing.

The final night is scheduled to be held at the Vietnam-Soviet Friendship Labor Cultural Palace and will be broadcast live on Hanoi Radio and Television.

This year, the judging panel brings together veteran figures of Vietnamese music such as People's Artist Duc Trinh, People's Artist Ha Thuy, People's Artist Tan Minh, People's Artist Quoc Hung, Meritorious Artist Tan Nhan... and also features the participation of young singer Nguyen Tran Trung Quan.

The Hanoi Singing Contest, established in 1997, is considered a breeding ground for nurturing and developing the golden generation of Vietnamese music, including leading artists such as People's Artist Tan Minh, Hong Nhung, My Linh, Meritorious Artist Dang Duong, Meritorious Artist Viet Hoan, Tung Duong, and many others.

In addition, many other names have emerged from this competition, becoming outstanding vocalists of Hanoi and national music.

For nearly 30 years, through many seasons, the competition has not only been a musical playground but also an opportunity for contestants to affirm their talent, express themselves, and interact and learn from leading artists, musicians, and professionals in the fields of music and art.
