In recent days, several clips have appeared on social media recording a female student being beaten up in a restroom, causing public outrage.

According to the clip, the female student wearing a uniform and a red scarf was standing in a corner of the restroom when a group of friends rushed in and beat her: punching her in the head and face, kicking her, pulling her hair, and dragging her across the floor. The incident took place in front of many other students who witnessed and cheered her on, while the victim could only lie on the floor and endure the beating.

According to the reporter's verification, the incident was recorded at An Dien Secondary School (in Long Nguyen ward, HCMC).

Speaking to VietNamNet , Mr. Ho Tan Minh, Chief of Office of the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City, said that the incident that occurred at An Dien Secondary School was the responsibility of the head of the school and the ward where the school is located. The People's Committee of the ward and An Dien Secondary School must be responsible for handling the incident, then reporting the incident to the Department.

The leader of Long Nguyen Ward People's Committee said that he had grasped the information of the incident and requested the Board of Directors of An Dien Secondary School to report on this content. After having the official content, the unit will inform the press.
