6th grade girl surprises by publishing novel in English globally

“I believe that each of us is special in our own way, everyone has hidden potential waiting to be discovered, like the character Jenkins in the story “Has Anyone Seen Jessica Jenkins”, a girl who seems to be as normal as everyone else but has magical powers in her hands. Courage, daring to be different, daring to break through will turn ordinary people into extraordinary people” - those are the shares of the little student Nguyen Khanh Chi, a 6th grader at Dewey International School ( Hanoi ).

Khanh Chi's story is similar to Jessica Jenkins' journey to discover her special ability - a colorful and experiential adventure.

Contrary to her quiet and shy appearance, Khanh Chi's mind is a vibrant and rich world . She impresses with her English ability and writing talent. Her love of language comes naturally through reading. Being an introverted girl, Khanh Chi always finds happiness when immersed in the pages of books. Khanh Chi said that like magical doors, books open up new worlds, where she can live with the characters and experience every range of emotions.

Since the age of 6, Khanh Chi has started writing short stories, inspired by the magical world in famous works such as Harry Potter , Percy Jackson ,...

"I want to create my own magical world, where characters discover their own strength through conquering countless challenges," Khanh Chi said.

To date, Khanh Chi has completed 11 works, the most successful of which is the English novel "Magic Runs Wild" published globally by Ukiyoto Publishing House in Canada, co-published on other international book distribution channels such as: Google book, Library wala.

The book conveys the message that what matters is not how powerful you are, but how you use that power to help others. “Magic Run Wilds” is also a touching story about friendship and courage.

Khanh Chi expressed her interest and enthusiasm for the Literature and Humanities subjects. In the near future, Khanh Chi hopes to have the opportunity to unleash her creativity in the school's literary projects.

Behind Khanh Chi's success is the strong support from her family, especially her mother - who inspired her and instilled in her a passion for reading.

Ms. Hai Anh, Khanh Chi's mother, shared that since she was in preschool, Khanh Chi had a special love for English and Literature. Ms. Hai Anh said that every night before going to bed, Khanh Chi often read stories and wrote short stories in English or historical knowledge that she remembered. Gradually, writing became a daily habit of Khanh Chi.

She was also the first reader, always supporting Khanh Chi's short stories from the first days she started writing. Her mother's encouragement and motivation motivated Khanh Chi to try to improve every day. Khanh Chi was always eager to learn about new ideas and topics.

Every day, Khanh Chi spends 30 minutes before going to bed reading. Khanh Chi said that reading not only helps her expand her English vocabulary and improve her grammar, but is also where she learns how to build characters and plots.
