On August 26, at the 8th Extraordinary Session, the 15th National Assembly completed the process of electing the Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Procuracy for the 2021-2026 term.

As a result, Mr. Nguyen Huy Tien - Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Permanent Deputy Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Procuracy was elected by the National Assembly to hold the position of Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Procuracy to replace Mr. Le Minh Tri.

The resolution on electing Mr. Nguyen Huy Tien to the position was just voted through by National Assembly delegates this afternoon, August 26, with 439/439 delegates participating in the vote in favor (accounting for 91.27% of the total number of National Assembly delegates).

Also in today's working session, the National Assembly elected Mr. Le Minh Tri to hold the position of Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Court for the 2021-2026 term.

Mr. Nguyen Huy Tien was born in 1968; Hometown: Dong Tan commune, Dong Hung district, Thai Binh province.
