Reuters reported that US President Joe Biden on July 13 called for an end to political violence after a shooting targeted his Republican opponent Donald Trump during his campaign rally in Pennsylvania earlier in the day.

Saying that former President Trump appeared to be fine, Mr. Biden emphasized: “There is no place for such violence in America. This is terrible.”

Regarding the incident, on July 14, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer said he was "shocked by the shocking scenes at former President Donald Trump's campaign rally" after multiple gunshots were heard at the event in Pennsylvania on July 13.
