On the evening of June 10 at Bukit Jalil Stadium, the Vietnamese team lost 0-4 to Malaysia in the second match of Group F of the final qualifying round of the 2027 Asian Cup.

In this match, the Vietnamese team debuted left-back Cao Pendant Quang Vinh and young center-back Pham Ly Duc.

In a quick interview after the match, Quang Vinh shared: "We have many reasons for losing many goals in the second half. One of the problems is physical strength. The team's cohesion was not the best, while Malaysia controlled the ball."

The reporter asked whether the fact that the Malaysian team has many naturalized players is a difference that causes the Vietnamese team to face many difficulties.

The overseas Vietnamese player said: "I don't think so. You have good players and so does the Vietnamese team. Malaysia played well in this match, causing us many difficulties.

The Vietnamese team still has a chance to continue because there are many more matches and will try their best to win each match. Including a match against Malaysia at home."

In the next two matches in Group F of the final qualifying round of the 2027 Asian Cup, the Vietnamese team will play Nepal on October 9 (home) and October 14 (away).
