Refuting wrong views about the life, career and achievements of President Ho Chi Minh

He not only left our nation a great revolutionary cause, but also left our entire Party and people a noble legacy, which is a shining example of noble revolutionary moral qualities. However, hostile and reactionary forces have never given up their plots and tricks to sabotage the Communist Party of Vietnam and the revolutionary cause of the entire Vietnamese people. Among them, speaking ill of, defaming and slandering the morality and personality of President Ho Chi Minh is a content that they often focus on.

Recently, hostile forces have fabricated fantastic stories about his background and personal life, along with painting a "portrait" of a communist without feelings, affection for father and son, husband and wife, brothers and sisters... Not only that, hostile forces have slandered President Ho Chi Minh for introducing Marxism-Leninism to Vietnam because it was a "historical mistake". Their argument is that Marxism-Leninism was born in Western countries or countries with different socio -economic conditions, historical and cultural traditions than Vietnam. Therefore, President Ho Chi Minh's introduction of Marxism-Leninism to Vietnam was just a "forced" act. Moreover, Marxism-Leninism was born a long time ago, so President Ho Chi Minh, and later the Communist Party, still considered it the ideological foundation of the Party, which was no longer appropriate, "both unhistorical and illogical". The purpose of hostile forces when attacking, distorting and falsifying the life and revolutionary career of President Ho Chi Minh is to defame his image in the spiritual and ideological life of the Vietnamese people.

Denying the contributions of President Ho Chi Minh to the Vietnamese revolution, hostile forces have blatantly distorted that: “When Ho Chi Minh introduced Marxism-Leninism with the theory of class struggle, it caused the situation of “cooking flesh and blood” for decades”. They also spread that President Ho Chi Minh’s direction of the country’s development along the path of socialism was a manifestation of a “short-sighted” mindset because it made “everyone equal in poverty”. They deliberately blamed President Ho Chi Minh and the Communist Party of Vietnam for causing the tragic death of the nation, causing Vietnam to “forever be in a vicious circle of poverty and backwardness”.

Recently, on social networks, an article appeared by a person signing as CB. Just by reading the title “Who is Boac Ho?”, one can see the resentment and sabotage of this person. Indeed, throughout the article, there are many vulgar and obscene words that extreme anti-communists often write and I will not mention them to dirty the readers’ ears. Those who have read the article by this CB will immediately understand why those who “dream of the yellow flag” and are extreme anti-communists always fail miserably.

It can be affirmed that President Ho Chi Minh was the one who changed the fate of our entire nation from a slave nation to an independent and free country. To the world, he "contributed to the common struggle of nations for peace, national independence, democracy and social progress". At the age of 21, realizing the deadlock in revolutionary lines and methods of the patriotic movements at that time, Nguyen Ai Quoc left his homeland and Fatherland to find a way to save the country. Under the light of Marxism-Leninism, he found the right way to save the country - the path of proletarian revolution. The dissemination of Marxism-Leninism in Vietnam itself speaks to the importance of Marxism-Leninism to our country's revolution.

In Vietnam, the vitality of Marxism-Leninism only truly shone when Ho Chi Minh applied it to lead the people in the struggle for national liberation, creating glorious victories in the 20th century, which not only international friends recognized but also enemies had to admit. Therefore, only those who deliberately "turn a blind eye" or "have eyes as blind" can deny his great contributions to the Vietnamese revolution. Therefore, no one has the right to slander historical reality, accusing Nguyen Ai Quoc - Ho Chi Minh of being guilty of national history because Nguyen Ai Quoc was the first person to accept and raise high the flag of national liberation on the path of proletarian revolution. What is more important is that when applying Marxism-Leninism, he did not copy the theories of his predecessors but applied them flexibly and creatively to suit the reality of the Vietnamese revolution. He transformed the theoretical system with universal principles, laws, and categories of Marxism-Leninism into simple, easy-to-understand philosophies to propagate, explain to the people, and guide the people to follow.

President Ho Chi Minh has been gone for more than half a century, but the mark he left behind is truly special. From the time he appeared on the political stage with the "Petition of the People of Annam" in 1919 until he left this world in 1969 and more than 50 years after his passing, the research and evaluation in articles and speeches about him seem to continue forever. Over the years, from the bottom of their hearts, from a sympathetic heart, from scientific and objective, profound research, the world wrote about him, Vietnam wrote about him, still acknowledging his dedication, his example of revolutionary morality... with the best, most beautiful, most touching words.

Therefore, all distortions about the great merits and contributions of President Ho Chi Minh are destructive arguments aimed at denying the ideological foundation of our Party and insulting the sacred feelings of our people for him. Those who, for sinister, evil, and vile motives, insult and defame him, such as CB and other political opportunists, are just those who hit their heads against the rock and receive the indignation and contempt of all the truly patriotic Vietnamese people and people of conscience in the world.
