Nearly 8 tons of milk and functional foods of unknown origin discovered

According to Soc Trang Police, the functional unit coordinated with Ho Dac Kien Commune Police (Chau Thanh District, Soc Trang) to investigate and handle nearly 8 tons of goods without invoices, documents, unknown origin and not licensed for circulation; including milk, wine and functional foods.

Specifically, through investigation and monitoring and from people's reports that the family of Ms. NTC (34 years old, residing in Cong Doi hamlet, Ho Dac Kien commune, Chau Thanh district) regularly dumped large quantities of packaging containing product information suspected to be functional foods, on May 11, the Ho Dac Kien commune police force conducted an inspection.

At Ms. C's house, the Commune Police and functional forces discovered 3 young men peeling off packaging, product labels, and goods; at the same time, they discovered a large number of cardboard boxes containing products, including: milk, wine, health protection foods... of unknown origin.

The three hired young men said they were hired by a man named D.KH (residing in Long Bien district, Hanoi city) to work from the beginning of May 2025. According to preliminary statistics, at the warehouse at Ms. C's house, there were 413 boxes and 67 bags containing various products with a total weight of nearly 7.7 tons. At the time of work, Mr. H could not provide invoices, documents, origin, or product circulation license.

Currently, the goods including milk, wine and functional foods have been sealed and temporarily detained by the authorities. Soc Trang Provincial Police are continuing to coordinate the investigation and clarification to handle according to the provisions of the law./.
