On May 8, the Hoa Nhon Commune Police (Hoa Vang District, Da Nang City) said they had received more than 400 bullets discovered and handed over by local residents. The bullets were found during the construction of a house foundation in Phu Hoa 2 Village.
Earlier, on the morning of May 7, while supervising the digging of the foundation, Mr. Do Huu Minh suddenly discovered two iron boxes suspected to be ammunition boxes. Realizing that the objects had signs related to weapons, Mr. Minh immediately reported it to the Hoa Nhon Commune Police.

All of the bullets were then recorded and handed over to the authorities for handling according to regulations.
The Hoa Nhon Commune Police highly appreciated Mr. Minh’s vigilance and sense of responsibility, and recommended that the local authorities promptly reward him. The authorities also advised people to absolutely not store, use, or illegally trade in weapons, explosives, and support tools.

Previously, in April, Thanh Binh Ward Police (Hai Chau District) also received an AK gun voluntarily surrendered by Mr. Nguyen Duy Ai (54 years old, residing locally); Mr. Tran Minh Phuoc (63 years old, residing in An Hai Nam Ward, Son Tra District) also came to report and handed over 1 long gun, 2 pistols, 103 bullets and 4 ammunition boxes.
The fact that many cases of voluntary handover of weapons and ammunition have also been recorded in other localities in Da Nang City shows the active cooperation of people in ensuring security and order.
