Cold storage discovered containing more than 7 tons of organs of unknown origin

Authorities discovered more than 7 tons of immature eggs, chicken intestines, and pig brains.

On May 5, Market Management Team No. 17, Hanoi Market Management Department, in coordination with functional forces, discovered and seized more than 7 tons of animal organs of unknown origin at the cold storage of Duc Tan Saigon Company, located at No. 1, km12, Ngoc Hoi Street, Thanh Tri District, Hanoi.

Specifically, during the inspection of the cold storage, the authorities discovered more than 7 tons of immature eggs, chicken intestines, and pig brains. All of these goods had no invoices or documents proving their legal origin, violating food safety regulations. The total value of the infringing goods was estimated at more than 664 million VND.

Immediately after discovery, Market Management Team No. 17 temporarily detained all the above goods and coordinated with Team 7, Economic Police Department, Hanoi City Police to complete the dossier and handle it in accordance with the law.
