Vi O Lac village, Po E commune, Kon Plong district has 88 households, 315 people, nearly 100% of whom are HRe people. The south and west of the village border Ba Ngac and Ba Tieu communes, Ba To district, Quang Ngai province. In terms of economy , people mainly produce agriculture... In recent times, thanks to the attention and investment of superiors and the efforts of cadres and people, the appearance of Vi O Lac village has changed day by day. The transportation system; electricity; schools; cultural houses have been fully invested. People boldly borrow capital and develop the economy. In 2024, the village will meet the standards of a new rural village. Currently, the village has met 8/10 criteria of a model new rural village, with a poor household rate of more than 6%.

At the meeting, delegates discussed issues of increasing people's income; soil and weather conditions for developing acacia trees and exploiting the potential and value of the Nuoc Long 1 & 2 hydropower reservoirs; orientations for changing the structure of crops and livestock to escape poverty sustainably...

Provincial Party Secretary Duong Van Trang suggested that in the coming time, the cadres and people of Vi O Lac village should convert the area of ​​ineffective crops to grow cold-climate coffee and tea; link with enterprises and cooperatives to develop value chains, increase product value, and ensure output. At the same time, focus on developing pig farming; cage fish farming in the Nuoc Long hydroelectric reservoir. The Provincial Party Secretary suggested that local Party committees and authorities pay attention to and guide people to promote traditional cultural values, natural landscapes to build community tourism , eco-tourism, and gradually develop the Vi O Lac brand; support people to access preferential loans, attract investment, grasp planting and care techniques, apply science and technology, ensure irrigation water for crops in the dry season, etc. Through this, the income of people will be increased, helping the village soon complete the criteria for building a model new-style rural village.
