Promoting the role of women in preserving and promoting the cultural identity of the Central Highlands in the integration period

According to the report at the conference, fully aware of the role of women in preserving, transmitting and maintaining national cultural identity, the Provincial Women's Union has closely followed Resolution 33-NQ/TW of the 11th Party Central Committee on "Building and developing Vietnamese culture and people to meet the requirements of sustainable national development", the Party's guidelines and the State's policies on preserving national cultural identity to set out targets in the Resolution of the 17th Provincial Women's Congress, term 2021 - 2026.

Permanent Vice President of the Provincial Women's Union Nguyen Thi Thu assessed the role of women in preserving, transmitting and maintaining national cultural identity.

Currently, the Association at all levels has established and effectively maintained over 300 models/clubs of "Healthy and Beautiful Women", "Folk Dance", "Bamboo Dance", "Sli Singing"...; coordinated the construction of 87 models/clubs to preserve and promote national cultural identity such as "Women's Gong Team", "Ching Kram Gong Sound", "Safe, Green, Clean, Beautiful, and Unique Women's Family"; "Green Garden Long House"...; maintained "Brocade Weaving" cooperatives, "Can Wine" startup model, organized "Lullaby" contests, "Cooking", "Family Meals"... to promote and develop the unique cultural features of ethnic minorities to the community.

At the conference, delegates discussed, gave opinions, suggestions and recommendations related to the following contents: Mechanisms and policies of the Party and State in supporting and promoting the role and responsibility of women in preserving, maintaining and promoting the cultural identity of ethnic minorities in the Central Highlands; the role of local Women's Unions at all levels in coordinating with agencies and departments at the same level to support ethnic minority women in maintaining and preserving ethnic cultural identity; solutions to preserve and promote ethnic cultural identity associated with preserving and developing traditional occupations; linking the preservation and promotion of traditional cultural values ​​of ethnic minorities with tourism and service development, contributing to creating livelihoods for women.

The conference aims to create an open and substantive forum for all levels, sectors, cadres and women's union members to share experiences and difficulties in transmitting, preserving and promoting the cultural identity of the Central Highlands. At the same time, it will help the Provincial Women's Union have more practical information to research and propose to competent authorities to develop orientations for activities to support ethnic minority women to promote their roles and responsibilities in preserving and promoting ethnic cultural values.
