Free surgery for foot deformities for people

On May 16, Can Tho Central General Hospital announced that it is implementing a free screening and surgery program for patients with metatarsal deformities.

Some common foot deformities

Accordingly, the program is aimed at adults and children (over 6 years old), with no limitation on place of residence.

Patients in need of treatment can register from now until December 22, 2023 to be screened by doctors. The expected surgery time is from January 2 to January 11, 2024.

Pathologies include: Congenital malformations or deformities of the metatarsal; polytoes; toe defects; sequelae of trauma, metatarsal infections; polio with sequelae affecting the metatarsal.

The free screening and surgery program for patients with metatarsal deformities is a traditional biennial activity of the Orthopedic Trauma Center (Can Tho Central General Hospital) and the International Extremity Project (IEP, USA) medical team.
