Unique Korean film about "love pandemic" shown in Vietnamese theaters

“Dính “thính” là Yêu” – a Korean film in the romantic genre with a unique script about an epidemic that makes people unable to control their desire to love and be loved, with the participation of “Best Actress” Bae Doo-na, will be shown in Vietnamese cinemas from May 30.

“Love is a Flirty Thing” revolves around Taek-seon (played by Bae Doo-na) - an indifferent girl with no interest in love, who is suddenly infected with the “love virus” and must find the true love of her life within 5 days, or else she will die of loneliness.

Funny situations continuously occur when she tries to find a cure and at the same time bumps into 3 men - researcher Nam Soo-pil (played by Son Suk-ku), elementary school classmate Kim Yeon-woo (played by Chang Ki-ha) and medical expert Lee Kyun (played by Kim Yoon-seok).

In particular, “Dính “thính” là Yêu” marks the first time Bae Doo-na plays the main role in a romantic drama. Before that, she was remembered by the audience as a “big sister” with a strong, individualistic image, specializing in films about social psychology, crime solving, and action.

Bae Doo-na has received a series of prestigious awards such as becoming the “Best Actress” at the Blue Dragon Awards and Baeksang Arts Awards. The actress also participated in a number of Hollywood films such as the blockbuster “Cloud Atlas” (2012) with Tom Hanks, “Jupiter Ascending” (2015)... In “Dính “thính” là yêu”, Bae Doo-na brings bright, positive energy through her colorful role, from a girl who is “anti” love to being infected with the “love virus”.

The film also features a cast of top-notch male actors. Among them, Kim Yoon-seok is known as the “acting icon” of Korean cinema after appearing in a series of box office hits such as “The Chaser” (2008), “The Thieves” (2012), “1987: When The Day Comes” (2017).

Actor Son Suk-ku is also a familiar face to audiences thanks to his huge acting portfolio, including high-rated TV series such as “DP” (2021, 2023), “My Liberation Notes” (2022), “The Roundup” (2022).

The new face of Korean cinema participating in this film is actor Chang Ki-ha. Before entering the acting field, Chang Ki-ha was the lead singer of the rock band Kiha & The Faces - one of the Korean music phenomena in 2008 with the hit "Cheap Coffee". Chang Ki-ha also took on the role of music director for the movie "Smugglers" (2023) and won the "Best Soundtrack" award at the Blue Dragon...
