On November 21, a working delegation of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee led by Mr. Nguyen Hong Hai, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, inspected the actual situation of floods and rains, natural disaster prevention and control, and search and rescue work in Cat Tien and Cat Tien 2 communes.

According to records, due to the impact of prolonged heavy rains upstream, Dong Nai 5 Hydropower Company had to increase the reservoir's flow regulation. Regulating a large amount of water in a short period of time caused the Dong Nai River's water level to rise suddenly, causing widespread flooding and directly threatening residential areas in the two communes.

In Cat Tien 2 commune, 19 areas in 9 villages were flooded, 7 traffic points were cut off. In Cat Tien commune, 23/23 villages were partially flooded, many roads were impassable, causing great difficulties for travel and rescue work.
