The delegation visited and presented gifts to Mr. Nguyen Quang Hung (born in 1951) in Voi town, a 21% disabled veteran who was infected with toxic chemicals.
Mr. Nguyen Van Tho (born in 1936), Sam residential group, Kep town, is an 81% disabled veteran. During the war, both men were captured by the enemy and detained in Phu Quoc prison.
At the places he visited, Comrade Pham Van Thinh expressed his emotion before the revolutionary soldiers who were captured and imprisoned by the enemy and kindly asked about their health and life. He affirmed that caring for and showing concern for families with revolutionary contributions and families with meritorious services is a fine tradition of the Vietnamese people. This shows the gratitude and deep appreciation of the next generation for the soldiers' contributions to the cause of national liberation and reunification.

He hoped that veterans would continue to uphold the tradition and qualities of "Uncle Ho's soldiers", uphold the exemplary spirit, actively participate in patriotic emulation movements in the locality; promote comradeship activities, andeducate the younger generation about revolutionary traditions.
Local Party committees and authorities need to continue to care and pay more attention to revolutionary soldiers captured by the enemy, imprisoned by the enemy, and families of those with meritorious services so that they can have a better life.
