Standing Vice President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the commune, President of the Women's Union of Gia Lam commune Hoang Thi Thuy Nga said that, based on the actual survey, the Union chose Thuan An road as the place to plant flowers, contributing to creating a bright - green - clean - beautiful environment, practically welcoming the Commune Party Congress for the term 2025-2030, and at the same time launching the construction of the project "Model flower road - Self-managed by Gia Lam commune women".

The sidewalk of Thuan An street in Cuu Viet residential group (in front of Gia Lam commune People's Committee headquarters) has an area of ^1,000m2 , with some types of trees planted in advance. However, there are some tall trees with wide leaves, blocking the view of traffic participants, so the Commune Women's Union has mobilized cadres and members to build Thuan An street into a model flower street, contributing to creating a bright - green - clean - beautiful - civilized environmental landscape.

After conducting propaganda and mobilizing members and people, from July 19 to July 24, the Commune Women's Union and its branches organized a general cleaning campaign, refurbishing the road, cleaning the environment, weeding, cutting and pruning trees; 240 female cadres and members from the village branches and residential groups in the commune participated; 680 colorful flower pots, suitable for the weather conditions and landscape of the road, were planted. The cost of implementing the road was nearly 70 million VND, from the commune budget and socialized sources.

* Previously, with the spirit of "When drinking water, remember its source", the Women's Union of Gia Lam commune visited and presented gifts to mothers and wives of martyrs in villages and residential groups, and presented 28 gifts with a total value of 14.5 million VND on the occasion of the 78th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2025).
