Beautify the landscape and environment

Previously, Phuc Son Street, Truong Phuc 1 Residential Group was a black spot for environmental pollution. At the end of December 2024, the Ward Women's Union carried out the project "Painting to create environmental landscapes". Women in the ward joined hands to clean up trash, paint pictures and plant flowers to create a green - clean - beautiful landscape. The project was completed in 25 days with a budget of 54 million VND supported by cadres, women's union members, club members, and businesses in materials and working days. Not only creating landscapes and environments, the road is even more brilliant with the national flag fluttering in the wind on holidays and Tet.

Women of Residential Group 8, Bac Nha Trang Ward sew pot holders to raise funds to support women in difficult circumstances.

Women's Unions at all levels in the ward have also implemented 22 "Battery House" models and 18 "Green House" models in residential groups and schools; launched environmental cleaning campaigns... Thanks to these models, thousands of batteries and plastic waste have been collected and properly treated, reducing the amount of toxic waste released into the environment. After collection, plastic waste is also sold to raise funds to help women and children in difficult circumstances. The models have received positive responses from the people. Typically, the Women's Union of Phuong Mai Residential Group has implemented the "Battery House" since March 2022. According to Ms. Bui Tran Thi Cuc - Head of the Union, the model started from the initiative of a member, then was replicated by the Union into an effective model. Ms. Dang Thi Thao (Phuong Mai Residential Group) shared: “My family has many devices that use batteries. Before, I used to throw batteries in the trash, but since the “Battery House” was built, I have been bringing old batteries to put in. I find the model very practical, helping to reduce environmental pollution.”

Support people to improve their lives

To create a fund to help women in difficult circumstances, from November 2020 to now, the Women's Association of Residential Group 8 has deployed the model "Skillful Hands" with 10 members. Members spend money to buy scraps of fabric and thread to sew pot holders to sell at markets. Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh - Head of the Association said that whenever they have free time, everyone gathers to sew pot holders in many shapes, the profits from selling products will be put in the piggy bank, about 4 million VND per year to help 10 members in difficult circumstances on the occasion of Lunar New Year.

From the fund contributed by members and the support of benefactors, the association at all levels has given 62 health insurance cards and 30 means of livelihood to women and children in difficult circumstances. Implementing the emulation movement "Eliminate temporary houses and dilapidated houses", the association mobilized funds to build and repair 7 houses for people with a total value of 470 million VND. The association at all levels also implemented models: Following children to school, 0 VND meals, Sharing love "Life and religion"... to support people.

Ms. Che Minh Thuy - Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the ward, Chairman of the Women's Union of the ward said that in the past time, the union at all levels has implemented 54 projects and tasks contributing to the construction of a civilized urban area. In the coming time, the union strives to support 70 households to meet the criteria of "Family of 5 haves, 3 clean", carry out at least 5 projects associated with family building, improving cultural life, protecting the environment, responding to climate change and promoting gender equality, contributing to the completion of the targets of new rural areas and civilized urban areas.
