Women rise up to be good at economics

With her will to succeed and her acumen, Ms. Tran Thi Yen Ly (born in 1978, residing in Phu Ngai Tri commune, Chau Thanh district, Long An province) successfully started a business in packaging sewing, creating jobs for many local workers.

In addition to developing the family economy , Ms. Tran Thi Yen Ly (Phu Ngai Tri commune, Chau Thanh district) also creates jobs for local workers.

Once the Vice President of the Women's Union of Phu Ngai Tri Commune, however, because she wanted to spend time taking care of her young child, Ms. Ly decided to quit her job to focus on her family. With the desire to develop the economy, she initially tried growing dragon fruit and opening a small restaurant, but due to the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic, business encountered many difficulties.

Undaunted, in 2023, Ms. Ly boldly switched to packaging sewing, specializing in the production of Jumbo bags (crane sacks) - a product with great demand in industrial production. Initially, she invested about 400 million VND to buy machinery and equipment and established Ngoc Ngan Packaging Sewing Factory.

“Thanks to my younger brother's introduction, I learned about this field. In the early days of opening the sewing workshop, I encountered many difficulties such as how to sew packaging, management skills, etc. However, thanks to the support and experience from my younger brother, after a while, I mastered the stages to produce products, meeting the requirements of partners" - Ms. Ly said.

Up to now, Ms. Ly's packaging sewing factory has had a stable output, mainly producing according to orders from partner companies with a revenue of more than 100 million VND/month.

Ms. Ly shared: “In my opinion, modern women know how to balance between career and family. Modern women need to have a career and a job to develop themselves, but also always improve to become a good mother and take care of the family.”

In addition to increasing her family’s income, Ly’s packaging factory also creates jobs for 9 local workers with an income of 7-8 million VND/person/month. Ly added: “Everyone has their own worries, especially women who have to worry about both finances and family. That’s why I try to create conditions for them to have stable jobs, not having to work far away, to have income and take care of their families.”

Chairwoman of the Women's Union of Phu Ngai Tri Commune - Nguyen Thi Thanh Tam said: "Ms. Tran Thi Yen Ly's family is one of the exemplary families in the locality. Ms. Ly not only knows how to invest, organize production, create a stable source of income for her family but also creates jobs for many workers, contributing to job creation and socio-economic development in the locality"./.
