Head of the Department of Culture, Science and Information of Phu Tan district Nguyen Thoi Dai said that one of the important contents of the movement is to build and organize grassroots cultural and sports activities. The increasingly spacious cultural institutions have created favorable conditions to mobilize a large number of people from all walks of life to actively participate in mass cultural and sports activities. “Currently, community cultural values are preserved and selected through the conscious reception of the people. It can be seen that every year there are many festivals and important anniversaries. In response to these events, villages everywhere are joyful, hanging flags, participating in sports and arts, and contributing to meaningful projects to celebrate. In particular, in communes and hamlets, cultural and sports events are diverse but there are always folk games, amateur music, songs expressing love for the homeland, country, family, etc. That is the place to connect and foster the spirit of solidarity and good village and neighborhood love” - Mr. Nguyen Van Quy (Phu Thanh commune) shared.

In recent times, Phu Tan district's professional departments have coordinated to launch a model of self-managed residential areas to maintain environmental hygiene, a model of waste collection and treatment according to regulations; mobilize people to plant trees; build fences in front of houses, make flagpoles, hang pictures of Uncle Ho... Up to now, the rate of solid waste collected in urban areas has reached 68.21%, civilized urban lifestyle has gradually become routine, roads are clean, business households are arranged in order, ensuring traffic safety.

Phu Thuan B Hamlet (Phu Lam Commune) was recognized as a typical example for maintaining the title of "Cultural Hamlet" for many years thanks to persistent and effective propaganda work. Mr. Truong Van Dung (Head of the Mobilization Committee) said that the most positive change among the people is the custom of organizing wedding parties and funerals. In particular, encouraging the exchange and receipt of marriage certificates at the Commune People's Committee; wedding ceremonies in the spirit of "joy - health - thrift"; not organizing parties in many places, many times; not inviting guests during working hours... In the funeral, people organize carefully, solemnly, thriftily, in accordance with the customs and traditions of the nation's culture; not taking advantage of the funeral to practice superstition, gamble...

In 25 years of implementing the movement, 800,000 households have achieved the title of "Cultural Family"; 100% of hamlets have achieved cultural status; bringing the total number of communes meeting new rural standards in the district to 9 communes, accounting for 56.25%. During the implementation of the movement, many cultural values have been preserved and promoted, arousing the fine traditions of the nation, such as: "When drinking water, remember the source", "Repaying gratitude", "Village and neighborhood affection"; contributing to improving the material and cultural life of the people...

Since then, the average annual economic growth rate of the district has been over 6.75%. Many effective economic models, along with the State's support and facilitation policies, have contributed positively to reducing the poverty rate from 12.96% (in 2000) to 2.16% (in 2024), and the number of well-off households has increased significantly. Along with patriotic emulation movements, the movement "All people unite to build a cultural life" has been identified as a core movement contributing to creating a healthy social environment, shaping a civilized lifestyle from family to community.
