Phuc Yen focuses on developing industry and civilized urban areas.

Implementing the 2-level local government model, Phuc Yen ward was established on the basis of merging 5 wards: Hai Ba Trung, Tien Chau, Hung Vuong, Phuc Thang, Nam Viem of Phuc Yen city, Vinh Phuc province (old). The administrative boundary merger has expanded new space for Phuc Yen to plan larger-scale industrial and urban areas, thereby creating a solid foundation for the sustainable development of the locality.

Phuc Yen Ward is implementing various solutions to improve urban quality, especially in the comprehensive and modern urban beautification efforts.

As a key economic zone, concentrating many large enterprises, including many 100% foreign-invested companies such as Toyota Vietnam, Honda Vietnam , Toyota Boshoku, etc., Phuc Yen ward plays an important role in industrial development and is one of the localities that makes a significant contribution to the state budget.

To fulfill its core economic development nhiệm vụ, Phuc Yen ward is focusing its resources on achieving its assigned targets. This includes prioritizing the shift in economic structure towards increasing the proportion of the service and trade sectors. By 2025, the total economic value of industry and construction in Phuc Yen is expected to reach over 90%; services and tourism will reach 9.25%. The industrial sector will continue to play a leading role and is being oriented towards clean, high-tech industries. The manufacturing, trade, and service sectors are expected to develop, with an average production value of 15.84%.

By 2025, the ward will have over 350 businesses with a total registered capital of thousands of billions of VND. Investment projects by these businesses will mainly focus on industry, trade, services, and tourism , contributing to economic growth in the right direction, creating jobs, and increasing revenue for the local budget.

To develop a civilized urban environment, for many years, local authorities have paid attention to urban planning, planning management, and investment, focusing on implementing many key construction projects, mobilizing investment resources, and upgrading urban technical infrastructure systems.

By 2025, Phuc Yen ward will manage 144 projects with a total investment of over 2,500 billion VND. These include the implementation of 11 technical infrastructure projects such as: renovating parks, green spaces, and stadiums; constructing and repairing cultural facilities to serve the people (Workers' Cultural Center Project; renovating and repairing cultural centers in residential areas; building model cultural villages); investing in lighting and decorative projects; upgrading the transportation infrastructure system, etc.

Along with urban planning, investment, and upgrading of technical infrastructure systems, environmental protection is emphasized, and household waste in the ward is collected and processed properly. Hazardous waste generated from production facilities in the ward is collected and processed according to regulations, with contracts signed between the waste generators and authorized units.

The ward has invested in a centralized wastewater treatment system in the former Nam Viem ward with a treatment capacity of 250 m3/day. It has actively directed the construction and implementation of the Project on Sorting Household Waste and Treating Organic Waste in the ward, giai đoạn 2022-2025, with a vision to 2030; and the Project on Planning for the Use of Surface Water until 2025, with a vision to 2030.

In residential areas, a civilized lifestyle has been established with many self-managed streets and road sections; the "Green Sunday" movement has been launched, attracting the participation of a large number of people, contributing to preserving the environment and the cultural and civilized urban lifestyle.

Toyota Vietnam Company is one of the FDI enterprises operating in Phuc Yen ward that makes a significant contribution to the state budget.

Entering a new phase of task implementation, with the tradition of unity and solidarity within the Party committee, consensus among the people, and political stability continuing to be the conditions and driving force for promoting socio-economic development of the locality.

The Party Committee of the ward focuses on leading and directing efforts to create a favorable environment for attracting investment and developing a stable and sustainable economy. It coordinates and directs the acceleration of land clearance work in the Phuc Yen industrial park to work with the Provincial People's Committee to create conditions for FDI enterprises to expand production.

Strengthen efforts to attract investment into industrial zones with high-tech, environmentally friendly products. Focus on resolving obstacles and removing bottlenecks in all sectors and fields; improve the capacity and efficiency of disbursing public investment capital and settling accounts for completed projects. Concentrate on implementing large-scale and key projects approved by the province, creating positive changes in the urban landscape.

Recognizing industrial development as the key economic sector, the Party Committee and People's Committee of the ward have focused on directing and creating favorable conditions to attract investment into industrial zones in the area. This includes prioritizing the development of the automobile and motorcycle manufacturing and assembly industry; the development of supporting industries; and the construction and consumer goods industries.

Implement transparency, openness, and reduce administrative procedures in the fields of land and basic construction investment, improving the competitiveness index to attract investment for industrial development. Invest in developing a modern urban infrastructure system with the goal of creating a breakthrough in improving urban quality, especially urban beautification, including the undergrounding of power lines and communication cables.

Implementing public welfare projects such as constructing the Dam Dieu green park area, social welfare facilities; building a public cemetery; urban water supply and drainage systems; addressing environmental pollution and urban waste; and developing regional transportation infrastructure... contributes to ensuring the synchronized and modern socio-economic development of Phuc Yen ward.
