Prudential Vietnam supports Van Chan commune with 84,000 USD to help build school and residential area infrastructure

In early November 2025, through the Prudence Foundation, Prudential Vietnam cooperated with the Center for Research & Training, Digital Media Knowledge Development (CRC) to deploy the PRU Volunteering (PRU - volunteer) 2025 program in Van Chan commune, Lao Cai province.

The program "Loving meal and cultural exchange" attracted a large number of students from Suoi Giang Primary and Secondary Boarding School for Ethnic Minorities to participate.

Van Chan Commune - a locality with a large number of ethnic minorities, especially students, has many difficulties in studying and living conditions. With the desire to join hands to support students to have better learning conditions, relevant units coordinated with the Van Chan Commune government to conduct field surveys at schools and residential areas in the area. On that basis, Prudential Vietnam supported infrastructure renovation, such as upgrading toilets, libraries, playgrounds, fences, street lighting systems with a total support value of up to 84,000 USD, equivalent to 2.1 billion VND, bringing direct benefits to more than 1,800 people, including 1,060 students and 802 households.

On the afternoon of November 6, at Suoi Giang Primary and Secondary Boarding School for Ethnic Minorities, Mr. Kevin Joong Kwon - General Director of Prudential Vietnam presented 84,000 USD to the Van Chan Commune government. At the same time, Prudential Vietnam coordinated with the Center for Research & Training, Digital Media Knowledge Development to organize many meaningful activities of the PRU Volunteering 2025 program for the community.

Students of Suoi Giang Primary and Secondary Boarding School for Ethnic Minorities happily participate in the "Loving Meal".

The highlight of the program was the "Loving Meal and Cultural Exchange" event held at Suoi Giang Primary and Secondary Boarding School for Ethnic Minorities with the participation of more than 900 students, teachers and many Prudential volunteers from 14 markets across Asia, including Vietnam. Within the framework of the program, international volunteers and Prudential Vietnam team brought students a lot of practical information: financial education and instructions on proper personal hygiene.

Previously, Prudential volunteers also participated in renovating the playground, fence and school yard of Suoi Giang Primary and Secondary Boarding School for Ethnic Minorities (photo above).

Prudential Vietnam volunteers participate in cultural exchanges, organize financial education activities, and instruct on proper personal hygiene.

Launched in 2009, PRU Volunteering is an initiative of the Prudence Foundation. Each year, the program is held in a different country, bringing together dozens of volunteers from Prudential employees in many markets to contribute to the community through disaster recovery projects and towards sustainable development.

This year, Vietnam is honored to be the host country, the PRU Volunteering program is also part of the series of activities celebrating Prudential's 26th anniversary in the Vietnamese market, demonstrating the company's social responsibility, accompanying the community, contributing to building a prosperous and sustainable Vietnam. Prudential Vietnam has been recognized as one of the businesses with outstanding contributions to the community in Vietnam in 2025.
