Southeast Asia Talent Festival Champion sings in 3 languages, idolizes Duc Phuc

(Dan Tri) - Luu Quoc Vuong - Champion of the 2019 Southeast Asia Talent Festival - impressed with his ability to sing in 3 languages ​​and aims to become a performing artist, taking Duc Phuc as a role model to learn from.

On the afternoon of October 1, in Hanoi , the Southeast Asia Talent Festival Champion Luu Quoc Vuong introduced his first MV Love the Fatherland - Love the People . Right at the meeting, the 19-year-old boy could not hide his excitement when sharing about the artist he always admired - singer Duc Phuc.

According to Quoc Vuong, Duc Phuc is the perfect role model for any young artist, from his strong and emotional voice, comprehensive performance skills, to his perfectionism in every stage of performance, costumes, choreography, stage presence and especially the strong energy that radiates to the audience.

“When watching Duc Phuc perform, I realized that an artist not only has to sing well but also has to captivate the audience with his entire image, style and emotions,” Quoc Vuong shared.

The 19-year-old boy said that right from the first steps in his career, he considered Duc Phuc as a role model to learn from comprehensively, from song processing, arrangement, expression to stage performance style.

In particular, Duc Phuc’s performance of Phu Dong Thien Vuong at Intervision 2025 left a deep impression on Vuong. “It was a perfect performance, from the voice, costume, choreography, props, to visuals… making everyone who watched it excited. And that is the path I pursue,” the male singer expressed.

In addition to Duc Phuc, Quoc Vuong also learns from his seniors such as: SOOBIN, Hoa Minzy, Toc Tien, Hoang Thuy Linh... or from impressive performances such as: Anh trai say hi, Anh trai vu ngan cong gai, Chi dep dap gio xuoc song... to shape his style and improve his performance ability.

Most recently, in mid-September, Luu Quoc Vuong represented Vietnam to participate and shine at the 2025 International Cultural Dance Festival (Asan World Ethnic Dance Festival) in Korea, performing the song Continue Writing the Story of Peace (Nguyen Van Chung) in 3 languages.

With his fluency in English and Korean, his performance left an impression and marked a memorable success at the festival.

After the festival, he made the MV "Love the Fatherland - Love the People" , marking an important step of maturity on his artistic path.

The song Love the Fatherland - Love the People , composed by musician Pham Viet Tuan, was released on the occasion of the A80 Great Festival. Instead of releasing it right on the occasion of the festival, Luu Quoc Vuong chose the time after the A80 "fever" so that the product would not be lost among a series of other songs, while at the same time keeping the patriotic message intact.

“For me, major holidays are a great opportunity to spread love for the country to a large audience, but that is not the only time. Love for the country in every Vietnamese person is always present, overflowing anywhere, anytime. I hope the audience will feel the energy and message through each song, each frame,” Luu Quoc Vuong explained.

The MV is arranged with a modern, youthful rhythm, combining folk tones through traditional instruments, and at the same time incorporating children's nursery rhymes to connect traditional and modern values. The images in the MV were filmed in the Northwest highlands (Mu Cang Chai - Yen Bai ) and the Thanh Hoa sea (Sam Son), both majestic and poetic.

Luu Quoc Vuong (born 2006, Phu Tho) had a passion for music at a very young age. He started singing in 4th grade and earned income from 6th grade, after winning prizes in children's competitions.

He won the Southeast Asia Talent Festival 2019 and the Song Song Melody Gold Medal 2020. In addition to music, Vuong also won the national A prize in the Reading Culture Ambassador contest 2022.

He is currently studying at the Faculty of Directing, Hanoi Academy of Theatre and Cinema.
