On November 2, the Department of Tourism of Quang Binh province announced that the family of General Vo Nguyen Giap has opened its doors to welcome people from all over the country to visit the General's tomb in Vung Chua (Quang Dong commune, Quang Trach district) 7 days a week.

Accordingly, the time to visit the graves in the morning is from 7:00 to 11:30; in the afternoon from 13:30 to 17:00. The opening for people to visit will be organized from the beginning of November 2023.

General Vo Nguyen Giap's family opens its doors to welcome people and tourists to visit the General's grave in Vung Chua every day of the week.

Previously, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, General Vo Nguyen Giap's tomb limited visitors. In addition, the area had to be renovated, so it only welcomed groups of visitors who registered in advance with the General's family.

Mr. Nguyen Duc Hien, Chairman of Quang Dong Commune People's Committee, said: "The fact that people are allowed to visit General Vo Nguyen Giap's tomb every day of the week is to meet the expectations of people and tourists for the legendary general, an outstanding son of his homeland Quang Binh."

It is known that from January 2019 to now, the Border Guard force of Quang Binh province no longer manages and protects the tomb of General Vo Nguyen Giap in Vung Chua, but the management is carried out by the General's family.

On October 21, on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the General's resting place in Vung Chua, General Vo Nguyen Giap's family coordinated with the Quang Binh Border Guard Command to organize a 10-year gratitude program "Vung Chua Day of Return" to recognize the contributions of officers and soldiers of the Quang Binh Border Guard in protecting the General's tomb in the past time.
