Goods of unknown origin and smuggled goods circulating illegally on the market were confiscated and destroyed, including: Children's toys, cosmetics of all kinds, medicines, food supplements, functional foods, foods of all kinds, alcohol, beer, household goods, fashion products, fabrics, cigarettes... with a quantity of over 45,000 products.

For fashion products, fabrics, cigarettes... the product packaging was cut open, then poured into a pre-dug hole and the hole's mouth was filled according to the process.

Deputy Director of the Market Management Department of Quang Binh province, Tran Quang Trung, said that during the peak months before the Lunar New Year 2024, smuggling and illegal transportation of goods became very complicated; smugglers used a number of new and sophisticated methods and tricks.

In order to manage and control the goods market well and protect the legitimate rights of producers and consumers, the unit launched a peak period of market inspection and control from November 20; strengthen inspection, detection and strict handling of smuggling lines and groups, production and trade of counterfeit goods, smuggling and trade fraud throughout the province.
