Quang Nam actively acts for a smoke-free community

The People's Committee of Quang Nam province assigned the Department of Health to preside over and guide departments, branches, agencies, units and localities to organize practical activities such as hanging banners, slogans, organizing rallies, conferences, parades and other forms of communication suitable to the actual situation.

At the same time, the Department of Health coordinates with the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism and related units to promote information, education and communication on the Law on Prevention and Control of Tobacco Harms, the National Strategy on Prevention and Control of Tobacco Harms to 2030, Resolution No. 173 dated November 30, 2024 of the National Assembly on "prohibiting the production, trading, import, storage, transportation and use of electronic cigarettes and heated tobacco products" and related legal documents.

Departments, branches, sectors, socio-political organizations and units are required to strengthen propaganda and mobilize people, union members and members to voluntarily and strictly comply with regulations on tobacco harm prevention and control. These activities will be integrated into major movements such as "All people unite to build a cultural life", "All people unite to build new rural areas and civilized urban areas" in the province.

The People's Committee of Quang Nam province assigned the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province and socio-political organizations to be encouraged to take the lead and set an example in mobilizing the community, contributing to the effective implementation of the National Strategy on Tobacco Harm Prevention and Control by 2030.
