Quang Ngai determined to eliminate 100% of self-opened railway crossings by 2026

QNgTV- Implementing Decision 358 of the Prime Minister approving the project to ensure order in traffic safety corridors and completely handle self-opened paths across railways, Quang Ngai is drastically implementing solutions to eliminate 100% of self-opened paths by 2026.

In 2025, Quang Ngai eliminated 26 self-opened passages, currently there are 26 other self-opened passages in existence, reducing 62 positions (equivalent to 70%) compared to the original when received from the railway industry.

The Department of Construction recommends that the Vietnam Railway Authority continue to advise on budget allocation for the province to implement the final handling of self-opened railway crossings. In addition, it is recommended that the Vietnam Railway Corporation take the lead in determining the railway land boundary, submitting a plan for placing markers for local approval and announcement; organizing timely inspection and repair of damages within the railway crossing; providing train operation plans, professional support and equipment for the guard posts when the locality deploys forces.

Quang Ngai aims to complete the elimination of self-opened paths and prevent people from opening new paths by 2026, ensuring traffic safety and improving the efficiency of exploiting railway infrastructure in the province.
