QNgTV- Prolonged rain and floods have affected the progress of the construction of the Quang Ngai - Hoai Nhon expressway. After the storm and floods, construction units focused on speeding up the progress, striving to finish in December this year as committed to the Government.

These days, at the Quang Ngai - Hoai Nhon expressway construction site, contractors and construction units are speeding up the completion of the remaining items to soon open the route.

The Quang Ngai - Hoai Nhon Expressway project has a total investment of more than 20,400 billion VND, is 88 km long, and passes through the two provinces of Quang Ngai and Gia Lai . This is the largest project among the 12 component projects of the North - South Eastern Expressway, phase 2021 - 2025; on the route there are 3 tunnels through the mountains and 77 bridges.

According to the contract, the project completion date is August 2026, however, the contractors are striving to complete it before December 31, 2025, 8 months ahead of schedule. When completed, the expressway will not only contribute to reducing pressure on National Highway 1A, shortening travel time but also opening up opportunities for economic and social development for the South Central region, especially the two provinces of Quang Ngai and Gia Lai.
