Quang Ninh: Closing ceremony of training on national defense and security knowledge for religious dignitaries and officials

On the morning of November 7, in Quang Ninh, the Standing Committee of the Central Council for National Defense and Security Education coordinated with the Government Committee for Religious Affairs, the Council for National Defense and Security Education of Military Region 1, Military Region 3 and the Council for National Defense and Security Education of Quang Ninh province to organize the closing ceremony of training in national defense and security knowledge for delegates, dignitaries and officials of religious organizations of localities in Military Region 1 and Military Region 3.

Major General Nguyen Quoc Toan, Director of the Department of Militia and Self-Defense Forces (General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army), Member of the Central Council for National Defense and Security Education , Deputy Head of the Organizing Committee, chaired the conference.

Also attending were: Major General Dam Minh Tuan, Deputy Commander of Military Region 1; Major General Le Van Long, Deputy Commander of Military Region 3; Major General Pham Hoang Long, Deputy Chief of Staff of Military Region 3; Colonel Le Trong Hoa, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Commander of the Quang Ninh Provincial Military Command.

After 4 days of study, 220 religious dignitaries and officials in Military Region 1 and Military Region 3 studied topics on the Party's viewpoints and the State's legal policies on ethnicity and religion in connection with national defense and security in the new situation; basic contents of the Law on Belief and Religion; prevention of the " peaceful evolution" strategy and violent overthrow by hostile forces; some issues on combining socio-economic development with strengthening and consolidating national defense and security and foreign affairs in the new situation; basic contents of the Law on Cyber ​​Security, the Law on Military Service, the Law on National Defense and Security Education, the Law on Militia and Self-Defense Forces, etc.

In his closing speech, Major General Nguyen Quoc Toan acknowledged the sense of responsibility of religious dignitaries and officials participating in the training course; hoped that after the conference, religious dignitaries and officials would continue to study and grasp the Party's guidelines and viewpoints, the State's policies and laws on ethnic policies, religious policies, beliefs on national defense and security tasks; better carry out the work of mobilizing the masses, believers, fellow believers, parishioners, and Buddhists in the area to well implement the Party's guidelines and viewpoints, the State's policies and laws, and properly implement the goal of living a good life and a good religion.
