Quang Ninh: Summer events explode

To welcome the "golden season" of tourism, as well as to increase competitiveness, the province has built a series of attractive cultural, sports and tourism events, with unique characteristics of Quang Ninh this summer.

According to the plan, in 2025, 170 programs, events, and tourism stimulus activities will be organized in the area. Of which, 24 programs, events, and tourism stimulus activities will be international, national, and provincial; 146 programs, events, and tourism stimulus activities will be local. In the first two months of the year and the first half of March 2025, about 50 programs, events, and activities were organized, including 3 provincial-level events and 47 local-level events. In the second half of March 2025 alone, 13 programs, events, and activities will continue to take place, including 3 international, national, and provincial-level programs, events, and tourism stimulus activities. The total number of tourists in the first quarter of 2025 is estimated at 5.5 million, including 1.45 million international visitors; Total tourism revenue is estimated at 11,120 billion VND.

In the second quarter, the tourism industry aims to welcome 5.3 million visitors; total tourism revenue is estimated at 14,720 billion VND. To attract tourists during this peak season, the tourism industry organizes 55 programs and events, including 25 programs, events, and activities to stimulate international, national and provincial tourism. The activities are built on the unique characteristics of Quang Ninh. According to Chairman of the Quang Ninh Tourism Association Nguyen The Hue, businesses and units have planned to build a unique culinary brand of Quang Ninh, originating from the culinary festival programs, beer and squid spring rolls that Quang Ninh has organized before. In addition, developing cruise tourism, exploiting the full potential of the province's synchronous infrastructure; strongly promoting the abundant potential of community tourism, creating new products and increasing competitiveness with destinations in the region.

Especially during the April 30 - May 1 holiday, 11 typical events will take place, such as: Ha Long Carnival 2025, Bach Dang Traditional Festival, Quang Ninh Ethnic Culture Festival 2025, National Excellent Archery Championship, Cuong Anh Cup Sports Dance Competition, Aqua Warriors HaLong Bay 2025, Quang Ninh OCOP Fair - Summer 2025, Beer and Squid Festival, Hot Air Balloon Festival, Motorized Kite and Paragliding Festival, Ha Long City Lion and Dragon Festival...; Uong Bi Summer Welcome Program, organizing Mong Cai tourism activities "Imprints of the Fatherland's Headland" in 2025. In particular, the province will launch tours to Bai Tu Long Bay, Quang Ninh province in 2025 to create new tourism products as well as diversify experiences, extending the length of stay for tourists.

Locals and tourists are eager to enjoy the cuisine at the Ha Long Beer and Squid Festival 2024.

Notably, art and music programs are expected to attract a huge number of visitors to Quang Ninh. One of them is the art program "Skywave Ha Long" with the appearance of singer Son Tung M-TP and a series of other famous singers, attracting about 10,000 spectators, held in April at Sun Carnival Ha Long Square, Ha Long City. Besides, the art program "Legend of the Heritage Land" is held in Ha Long City, Mong Cai and tourist areas and spots. The program includes traditional music and dance performances to propagate and promote the natural values, beauty, culture, history and people of Quang Ninh, strengthen communication activities, promote tourism of the province to ensure the goal of developing tourism in a professional, quality and sustainable direction, linking tourism development with preserving and promoting the values ​​and identity of national culture.

In addition, from March to June 2025, a series of activities and events will take place within the Art For Climate Festival Ha Long 2025 program, such as: Exhibition of artworks by Vietnamese and international artists combined with the Merea x Women Dior Collection (April-June 2025); auction of artworks to raise the Heritage Protection Fund and the Climate Change Fund (April and June 2025); Opening Ceremony of the Art For Climate Festival Ha Long 2025 Program (June 2025); Fashion show with the theme Art For Climate Runshow (June 2025); International Music Festival (June 2025); International culinary exchange (June 2025); "Art for climate marathon Ha Long 2025" race (October 2025)...

Responding to the province's plans, Sun Group also included a series of tourism events. The Yacht and Ship Festival combined with the Yacht Night Street product was successfully organized many years ago. The unit organized the festivals in the cable car and Sun Wheel areas after completing the renovation of the infrastructure due to the impact of storm No. 3/2024.

Along with the tourism industry, localities also quickly implemented tourism events, creating maximum conditions for businesses to build and implement tourism products and events. Mr. Dao Van Vu, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Van Don district, said: In 2025, the locality will introduce 5 new tourism products, in which the Bai Tu Long Bay tourism product is of special interest. The locality has created all conditions for cruise businesses to survey the itinerary, resolve difficulties and problems within the local authority. In addition, actively calling for investors, building and developing the fleet and schedule of tours to Bai Tu Long Bay, making the most of the high-speed infrastructure and Ao Tien International Port to attract tourists.
