Quang Ninh: Scientific workshop on improving the effectiveness of ideological work of the Provincial Party Committee

The scientific workshop enriched the theoretical and practical basis, lessons learned to supplement and perfect the Project "Improving the quality and effectiveness of the ideological work of the Provincial Party Committee, contributing to the country entering a new era"; at the same time, it sought opinions from experts, scientists, and delegates on the Party building work in terms of ideology, politics, and ethics of the Quang Ninh Provincial Party Committee in the past term and the directions, tasks, and solutions in the coming term.

Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Duc Luan, Deputy Head of the Department of Political Theory, Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission spoke at the conference.

Speaking at the workshop, Deputy Secretary of the Quang Ninh Provincial Party Committee Vu Quyet Tien emphasized that ideological work is a key area, the spiritual foundation of the revolutionary cause, an important part of the work of building the Party and the political system. Correct ideology leads to correct action; strong ideology leads to strong organization; clear ideology leads to consensus among the masses and social stability. In the history of the revolution, President Ho Chi Minh affirmed: "Ideological work is a sharp weapon to influence and gather the masses". Today, that meaning becomes even more urgent when we have to face new ideological issues arising in the context of an open society, digital technology and the negative side of globalization.

The Deputy Secretary of the Quang Ninh Provincial Party Committee affirmed that in recent years, the ideological work of Quang Ninh province has had many positive and remarkable changes in all fields and aspects of work, contributing to building a truly strong Party in terms of politics, ideology and organization, creating a favorable foundation for leading the successful implementation of socio-economic development tasks, ensuring national defense and security of the locality; at the same time, making an important contribution to consolidating people's trust in the leadership of the Party and the administration of authorities at all levels; creating social consensus, maintaining political stability and a sustainable investment and development environment of the province. The results of double-digit economic growth for 9 consecutive years (2015-2023) and the People's Trust Index in the province increasing steadily from 95.6% (2020) to 96.16% (2024) have important contributions from ideological work activities in general and the efforts of the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization sector of the province in particular.

Mr. Vu Quyet Tien requested that Party committees at all levels, departments, branches, sectors, the Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations, and the team of cadres doing ideological work in the whole province not only stop at proposing solutions and developing tasks but also focus on implementing well some key contents such as: Continuing to thoroughly grasp and creatively apply the Party's viewpoints and guidelines on ideological work, especially the instructions in the Resolutions of the 4th Central Committee, terms XII and XIII, and Conclusion No. 01-KL/TW of the Politburo. Strengthening the leadership, direction, and responsibility of Party committees at all levels, Party secretaries for ideological work; identifying ideological work as an important and regular task of the whole Party and the entire political system. Strongly innovating the content and methods of ideological work in the fields of political theory education and revolutionary tradition education; grasping public opinion, forecasting the situation; Manage, direct, and orient press and publishing information; exploit and promote the effectiveness of propaganda forms, methods, and means; fight against erroneous and hostile viewpoints, and protect the Party's ideological foundation...

The Deputy Secretary of the Quang Ninh Provincial Party Committee believes that with the spirit of innovation, responsibility and aspiration for dedication, the ideological work of the Provincial Party Committee will continue to foster trust, arouse the aspiration for dedication, develop and promote the strength of great national unity in the cause of building and defending the Fatherland.

The workshop received 46 submissions, including many very dedicated and profound submissions from researchers, scientists and delegates from central agencies, units, provinces, cities and localities, departments, branches and organizations in the province.

During the discussion sessions, delegates affirmed that ideological work is a very important part of our Party's leadership. Ideological work plays a very important role in building and establishing the Party's ideological foundation and the spiritual foundation of social life; it plays a role in orienting awareness, encouraging action, creating consensus and unity in the whole society.

Speaking at the workshop, Head of the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department of Quang Ninh Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Hong Duong shared that the delegates had objectively and comprehensively assessed the current ideological work of the Provincial Party Committee in the past time; valuable experiences in leadership, direction, implementation of ideological work tasks and new requirements and new issues for ideological work in the context of Quang Ninh and the country entering the era of national development.

All the presentations and opinions expressed the constructive spirit and high responsibility of the delegates; many opinions and presentations were of extremely high quality, contributing many good ideas, solutions, and valuable experiences to carry out the task of building the Party in terms of ideology, politics, and ethics in the coming time. Today's workshop will be an important premise to continue researching, applying, and spreading the achieved results into practical work at each agency and unit, affirmed the Head of the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department of Quang Ninh Provincial Party Committee.
