Green Future Foundation launches Green Voice debate contest season 2

The debate content is based on 10 key action programs of the Green Future Fund, including: Green Mobility, Green Energy, Green Office, Green Consumption, Green Lifestyle, Green Urban Area, Green Tourism, Green Education , Green Healthcare and Green Sports.

With the theme "Global Connections for a Green Future", season 2 highlights ideas that closely follow domestic and international topics and news in the field of environment and sustainable development as well as initiatives and solutions to promote green actions and lifestyles globally.

Regarding the roadmap, the contest consists of 04 rounds: Registration, Preliminary, Confrontation and Ranking. Contestants register to participate in the form of groups of 02 people. In the Registration round, contestants have more than 01 month to submit their contest ideas to the Organizing Committee (OC). The Preliminary round will be implemented online. Selected contestants will send 01 video clip to present their ideas submitted to the Organizing Committee in the Registration round.

From the Confrontation Round, the contestants will compete head-to-head to find the teams worthy of entering the Ranking Round and the Final Award Round of the competition, scheduled to be held on January 18-19, 2025.

The prizes for each group (English and Vietnamese) include 01 First Prize, 01 Second Prize, 02 Third Prizes, 04 Consolation Prizes and other prizes. The total prize value is up to more than 18.5 billion VND.

In particular, the best team in each group will win prizes worth a total of 3.3 billion VND, including a cash prize of up to 50 million VND, a full scholarship for a bachelor's program (applicable to all majors) at VinUni University, a VinFast EVO200 electric motorbike, a vacation at Vinpearl and tickets to VinWonders, and many other valuable prizes...

Students of the High School for Social Sciences and Humanities learn about the important milestones of the competition season 2.

In addition to the main prize, there are also secondary prizes for "School with the highest response" and "School with the contestant winning the first prize of the contest". Each prize is worth 100 million VND, awarded in kind with equivalent value.

Representative of the Organizing Committee, Dr. Le Thai Ha - Executive Director of the Fund for a Green Future - said: "What made the first season of the Green Voice contest a success was the unique and convincing ideas, stemming from the observations and concerns of students about the daily living environment. In season 2, we aim to expand the scale of the contest to all regions and provinces, especially remote areas of the country, to seek more diverse ideas that can lead to positive changes, thereby contributing to promoting and spreading green lifestyles globally, towards a green future for everyone."

Dr. Le Thai Ha – Executive Director of the Green Future Fund, representative of the Organizing Committee – shared about the Green Voice contest season 2 at Vinschool Ocean Park Inter-level School. This is the school with the largest number of contestants participating in the Green Voice contest season 1.

The "Green Voice" debate contest is one of many specific activities of the Green Future Fund to raise public awareness and promote society to join hands in action for a better future for everyone.

Season 1 of the competition was a resounding success, attracting nearly 3,000 contestants from 455 high schools in 59/63 provinces and cities nationwide. The contestants came up with many unique and highly applicable ideas such as using raw materials to synthesize new materials to replace natural leather; proposing a green mobile clinic model to increase people's access to healthcare; the idea of ​​"green roofs" with the desire to contribute to greening urban areas... Not only creating conditions for the young generation to demonstrate their bravery and creative thinking ability, Green Voice also gives contestants the opportunity to learn knowledge, practice public speaking and debate skills with leading experts, world-famous professors and scholars in the Professional Councils.

Through practical topics, Green Voice is gradually affirming its position as a useful and meaningful intellectual playground for a large number of students nationwide, creating a platform to encourage the young generation to share creative ideas and unique solutions to environmental problems.
