At the end of the Preliminary Round on December 10, the Green Voice Contest (organized by the Green Future Fund - Vingroup Corporation) received hundreds of video presentations of ideas from teams from all over the country. Of which, 120 excellent entries advanced to the Confrontation Round with topics such as: Green consumption (30.8%), Green lifestyle (15%), Green tourism (10%), Green education (10%) and Green mobility (9.2%).
This number not only shows the diversity of concerns of the young generation but also clearly reflects the sense of responsibility towards urgent environmental issues. In particular, the contestants skillfully integrated their personal perspectives and real-life experiences into their entries, creating a unique appeal for each work.
Sharing about the results of the Preliminary Round, Dr. Le Thai Ha, Executive Director of the Fund for a Green Future - Vingroup Corporation, said that the entries were not only highly appreciated for their content but also impressed with their unique expressions in the contest videos. From confident expressions, the ability to flexibly combine body language and expressions, to the use of creative illustrations, all contributed to creating emotional and interesting entries.
“I am truly convinced by the unique and creative ideas that the young people have brought. I believe that the Confrontation round will be a dramatic competition, when the most potential ideas will be compared and criticized in a civilized manner,” said Dr. Le Thai Ha.
120 teams including 221 contestants will advance to the Confrontation Round from 83 high schools in 38 provinces and cities nationwide. The Confrontation Round will take place on December 28, 2024 in Hanoi (for contestants in the Northern region) and on December 29, 2024 in Ho Chi Minh City (for contestants in the Southern region). Individuals and teams will be divided into two groups, based on the registration language: Vietnamese and English.
Each individual and team will compete directly with opponents in the same group, according to the random arrangement of the Organizing Committee. The Confrontation Round not only requires confidence and sharp debating skills but also challenges the ability to flexibly respond to practical problems.
At the end of the Confrontation Round, the 16 best individuals/teams will move on to the Ranking Round, scheduled to be held at VinUni University on January 18 and 19, 2025.
To help contestants best prepare for the upcoming Confrontation round, the Organizing Committee of the competition will hold two webinars with the participation of members of the Professional Council this December, focusing on two main contents: knowledge and principles of debate and topics related to the green environment.
